Click to report rating    7/9/19   5     5     5     5   First time visit with our new puppy who seemed to be aggressive. The staff were overall nice and considerate even with a pup barking his head off. The new Dr was very polite and approached our pup like he was one of his own. The pup was not aggressive and was actually barking from anxiety. Within ten minutes the Dr was able to hug and rub our pup. He also gave us some great advice and the overall cost of a general exam was very reasonable. RID: 68336
Click to report rating    3/21/19   5     5     5     5   Dr Ludwig was AMAZING with our dog Bo! He just recently took over the practice and he is a wonderful Vet. He truly cares about his patients. I walked in while he was in the waiting room talking to a lady with what seemed like a family pet who was getting up there in age. He was so empathetic with this lady and she seemed comforted by his bedside manner. I would give them 10 stars if I could! RID: 67807
Click to report rating    4/8/16   1     2     4     1   I have been taking my dog to this vet for 8 years. Every time I leave there I say I will never go back again. WHY?? Because the Dr. and his wife have no people skills at all. The Dr. truly is smart and is thorough in his exams but talks down at you, like your stupid. I have an exam scheduled and every year he charges for an extended visit just because he likes to go in detail about everything. I had a 20 some dollar credit for a prepaid urine test for my dog that I did not drop off and they would not give me a credit. Charged me 35.55 for 1 dose of Revolution for my dog because they were out of the 6 pack, not my problem. They nickle and dime you for everything and Linda the wife/office manager is very rude and abrupt to people. Not going back, records are be transferred to a new vet. RID: 60257
Click to report rating    8/8/12   1     2     2     1   Dr. Phiel is great. His staff, however, is rude and quite opinionated regarding pet care. While their office is very conveniently located, their prices are just way too high. Why pay double or more for services when you don't even get those services with a smile? Yep, you got it, DON'T use this facility. RID: 36349
Click to report rating    6/5/12   2     2     4     2   I would recommend not taking your pet to this facility for anything other than a routine visit. The Dr is lacking in bed side manner and compassion. When I’m worried that test results may show that my pet needs to be hospitalized for 2 weeks, I need assurance that if that happens, she will be in good hands, treated with love and well taken care of. What I didn’t need to hear from the Dr was “If that happens it may turn out to be a nuisance for both of us”. They have a very limited staff, very limited hours and are not equipped to give your pet the love and attention they need for long term boarding. Due to this the Dr is very quick to suggest that you take your pet to a ‘Specialist’ whenever a diagnosis is out of the norm. I suggest you look for a larger facility with a bigger staff, more Doctors, better hours and more love. Consider Patton Veterinary Hospital on East Broadway in Red Lion. RID: 34756
Click to report rating    2/26/09   2     4     3     1   Do not take your pet here if they have a problem other than a routine check up or something. The Dr. is very knowledgeable but the staff thinks they are Doctors also and this causes problems. My wife and I have gotten into more than one heated argument with the staff there. This vet will cost you your life savings in the end... they will test and test and test until you just can't afford to go there anymore. It's a shame for the pet in the end really RID: 11847
Click to report rating    11/14/08   4     4     4     4   I chose to go to this vet when I moved to red lion because it was close. We liked the whole facility and staff immediately. The Dr. is competent and educated. I like that he explains to me exactly what he does and what he looks for in a healthy animal and what are signs of illnesses when our animals are ill. He doesn't hold back on terminology and uses appropriate vocabulary- so I don't feel like someone is talking down to me. Their hours can be frustrating sometimes, but that's just because of my husband and my schedules working. I think the staff is very kind and always catch up even with "small talk" about my new son and shared acquaintances. I have turned down vaccinations that we felt were unnecessary, but we are up to date on the important ones. If you are given a lecture about not being up to date, it's a good thing! It's important just as people to keep vaccinated so others don't get sick. You put others at risk. It's responsible. I highly recommend this facility. RID: 10590
