8/8/08   5     5     5     5   I have worked at vet clinics for over 2 years and it is very important for your pet to have bloodwork done anytime they undergo anesthesia. A girl I know recently had her young cat spayed and decided to skip the bloodwork. Unfortunately her cat passed away during the surgery because she had a bad reaction to the anesthesia that could have been prevented if she had accepted the bloodwork. Yes it is expensive, but they are not trying to just take your money. They just want to offer this to you to be on the safe side. I know a few of the doctors and staff here and I used to take my coati to Dr. Ford. The doctors and staff here, I can say with confidence, truly care about their patients. RID: 9613
Click to report rating    5/27/08   5     5     4     5   I have NEVER had any problems here, in fact, they were able to correctly diagnose and treat my dog's ear infections. We had been seeing another vet for nearly 3 years and battling ear infections for almost 2 of those years. I switched vets (for other reasons) and starting seeing Family Pet Clinic. I took my dog in for his "routine" round of antibotiocs and ear flush. They did testing and treated the actual cause of the ear infections, not just the symptoms. The test was priced less than $25, which is less than an office visit. Since treatment, we have not had another ear infection. For less than half of what I spent at my prior vet, for a visit and medication, my dog was treated with the correct medication and is now a super happy guy. We are working on 6 months with no ear infections. THANK YOU FAMILY PET CLINIC!!! RID: 8628
Click to report rating    6/27/07   3     3     2     1   I used this vet clinic only because they accepted my SNYP coupon for a pet I adopted and the NRH animal shelter. They wanted to perform all kind of tests, do bloodwork etc BEFORE they performed surgery. The "things" they wanted to perform were over 150.00. I felt as if they were trying to recoup the money they were losing with a $15 SNYP contract. This clinic is in it for the money and not the animals. Shame on you. RID: 4910
Click to report rating    6/21/07   1     2     2     1   We boarded our dog for the weekend. They were supposed to update his vaccinations and bathe him. When we picked him up after 3:00 on Monday, he didn't smell like he had a bath. Later I noticed on the bill that he never got any of his vaccinations. My bill was over $150.00 for what I still haven't figured out. RID: 4708
Click to report rating    3/28/07   1     1     1     1   My invoice grand total was 696.97 payable at time of services rendered. I had already provided a credit card number to the receptionist Pam prior to the pick up of Charlotte earlier that day. The amount permitted was $433.71 to be charged this total was discussed with Jason on February the 28th at 7:50 AM. I was informed by Dr. Bell that no adjustment was going to be made on my invoice. The administrator said that if I did not give him permission to change the original card that he was going to call the police for theft of services. Charlotte has had trauma from her care at ‘The pet clinic” She is suffering from multiple ligature marks from under her neck which no one has had an explanation for. Charlotte hasn’t been the same little girl since I brought her home. I have always given her kisses on the face and neck now she is terrified someone is going to restrain her by her neck. Thank you, Bianca M. Marcuccino RID: 3197
