Their goal states "We take pride in offering patient and client care in an intemate and friendly, compassionate and effient manner". Did not find this to be true. I made an appointment for my dog who was not doing well, trouble breathing etc, I was dealing with the fact he may have to be put to sleep. I called the office well before my 3:00 appt, saying I thought he maybe doing better and could make it till a vet whom I called could make a house call . Five minutes later his breathing changed, so I immediately called back to say I was on my way. I was told by the office manager " well if you're coming hurry up cause I'll mess up their afternoon schedule" I replied forget it I will to him to the emergency animal hospital(half an hour or more away] VET WAS 10 minutes away. Compassionate??? Hardly, also when I went to pick up his records not a word as to how I made out condolence nothing. Also lied on the report as to what time I called. Still waiting for D. Klingensmith to call!

Use to love this vet, but Dr. Klingensmith has lost his compassionate and caring ways. He use to review options in care and take time to talk to my girls (dogs) and give a great exam. Now, he just goes through routine motions. I never questioned his bill, paid whatever he charged because I was so happy with the care he gave. Now I feel that he spends very little time and just wants people's money. His staff has always been a big turnover, went there for 15 years. BUT, this staff is the worst ever. I called with my concerns over my dog and the lady was so nasty. I asked to have Dr. Klingensmith call me. She called me back and said he wasn't going to call me and didn't have to justify himself to me. So shocked by this attitude, have never dealt with a doctor acting this way. He missed a cardiac issue too. My advice.. He is burnt out and no longer cares for his 4 legged patients, do not use this vet. If you love your pets bring them to a vet that cares!!

Always has the best interest of the pet as number one priority. My dog had an eye problem which did not respond to to prescription medicine. The doctor made a serum from the dogs blood which quickly corrected the problem. The staff is very friendly.

I am submitting this as a memorial to my 19 year old cat, whose euthanasia was totally botched June of last year (2010). I agree 100% with the previous comments: Dr. Klingensmith is GREAT, if you can remember to insist on making an appointment with HIM. The staff change so often, or do not bother to read notes made in your pets records as to the vet of your prefrence, so it is up to you to remember to ask for Dr. Knlingensmith. I forgot, and got a ham-fisted oaf who did not in any way "make sure that my cat's end was gentle, quick, and quiet" as had been promised by Dr. Klingensmith. I had met two other vets here, but would not recommend anyone but Dr. Klingensmith. After 10+ years, I just had to say good bye to this place.

The staff here is always different. Dr.Klingensmith is great if you can get an appointment with him. The secretary seems to want to be the vet and is quite intimidating, and opinionated. I like dr.klingensmith but the rest of the staff made me switch.
