Horrible Vet, all they care about is charging you for more and more tests only to give you no answers. Took my cat today to a different vet and found out on the first visit. Now my cat dies because Dr Paul cares more about my money and overcharged tests, rather than my actual pet. Go some place else, you've been warned

very disapointed with the diagnosis and the price. My dog cried today, as it cried yesterday from the pain, after $250 I still don't know whats wrong with her and she is still in pain.

I am a mobile Groomer in the Berks county area. I could not be more please with Dr. Geoff Dewire and his staff. I am familiar with most of the vets in my area. My first and only choise is Dr. Dewire. He has taken wonderful care of my 4 dogs and gone above and beyond the call of duty. He makes himself or his staff available 24/7 which is HUGE because my dogs only seem to have problems after hours and I don't want to take them to some vet that I don't know. I reccomend all of my clients that are either not happy with their vet or are just in search of a GOOD vet to go see Dr. Geoff Dewire. I look forward to a long relationship with Douglassville Veterinary hospital. I have been in the pet industry for a long time and have done my research. Geoff takes the time to explain things in a manner that I understand. My dogs will to see Dr. Dewire and ONLY Dr. Dewire. This clinic is the only place that I am aware of that gives pain medication after a spay and neuter also.

I retired from small animal veterinary medicine 7 years ago. As a practitioner with over 30 years experience, I found it hard to find the right veterinary hospital to take care of my pets when I retired. I have been very impressed with the professionalism, competency, compassion, and "attention to detail" at Douglassville Veterinary Hospital. I have referred many of my past clients, family, and friends to DVH. They have given me rave reviews. Thank you Dr. Geoff Dewire for giving a retired vet the peace of mind in knowing that he can trust someone else with his animals!

I recently moved to California and I am so sad to have lost these great vets. I still haven't found a local veterinarian in my area that is comparable to Douglassville Veterinary Hospital. The entire staff is caring and knowledgeable. I would absolutely recommend this hospital. Your pets will be in excellent hands there.

If it wasn't for Douglassville Veterinary Hospital, my dog wouldn't be alive today. They brought my poodle back from the edge of death and I will never be able to thank them enough. The staff is kind, friendly and caring. The doctors have a great understanding of animals and the additional staff is also extremely knowledgeable. I am also thrilled they have the grooming and training center next door now. The hospital is always clean and inviting and I feel comfortable when I am there. Even though I live over 40 minutes away, I will continue to be a loyal client to this practice.

Dr. Dewire and his staff at DVH are great! They really care about you and your furry little friends. They are well educated and have a very talented team of veterinarians that will go above and beyond for you. For the last few weeks, my cat was having trouble breathing. I had my previous veterinarian who specialized in cats check out Kahlua, however she could not explain why this was happening. So I did some research on veterinarians. Dr. Dewire and his team at DVH were highly recommended and just recently featured on National Geographic for their veterinary expertise. I took Kahlua to see Dr. Dewire and explained to him what had been occurring. He performed some testing and research as what he was seeing was not common in cats. He said Kahlua has Asthma and gave me a special inhaler for him. A day later, he called to check and see how K was doing! Thank you Dr. Dewire. Kahlua loves you!

I could not be any happier with this medical team! The receptionist knows my name, my cat's name, and my file number! The doctors are kind and always answer all of my questions, their compassion is wonderful. I am on a fixed income and there are never any surprise fees. I feel like family when I go there, and hopefully I will be going there with my little Smokey for another 10 years.

Not too long ago I switched to this Vet for my dog and they have been so pleasant to go to. My dog hasn't had many problems but for yearly visits, they have told me everything I need to know about my dog. I've seen the main Vet every time I go and he has been a wealth of information. Also, they prescribe any of the medications I may need to keep my dog healthy. I have nothing bad to say about this Vet, they have been so great for me and my dog.

I had to have my 4 year old Cairn terrier treated for an eye problem. Three doctors checked the dog's eye and could not diagnose what an ophthamologist diagnosed in one minute as a cataract.Dr J Dewire stated "I can't see the back of her eye because of a white film over it."THAT was the cataract!! Dr G DeWire was unprofessional, rude, and mocked me. He accused me of only being concerned with the money which was a lie! This was not about any money but about their incompetence to aid and diagnose my dog's problem. Even had the audacity to say after I told him I was so scared my dog would be blind "well seems your fears came true, now, didnt they". Where is the compassion and professionalism? My dog is now blind in her right eye and will require surgery in both eyes. No, the cataracts are not their fault but they could have diagnosed them and eased my fears and also been more sympathetic and professional.
