Our family first started with this clinic to neuter our dog almost 5 years ago. Over the years we've recommended this clinic to many other dog owners. To date we've never had a complaint about service or care of their dogs. Yesterday we called to get our dogs needles back up to date as the cost at our regular vet has soared substantially, 2 needles and an examination later the total cost is what we would have paid just to walk in the door of our regular vet. The Vet & Tech both took time with us and at no time did we feel rushed to leave. For all those complaints below, I myself am very puzzled. We will definitely continue to recommend this clinic to other dog owners and will be back. I guess you can't always make people happy.

Just got my 9 month old dog spayed here yesterday. Despite the comments I have just read I found the staff to be friendly and helpful during the whole process — they even gave her a rabies shot on the spot so she could be spayed. Our surgeon was Dr. Rubin, we were sent home with pain meds, a cone, and info on post-surgery care. She seems to be back to her normal self this morning. I am just waiting to see how her incision heals, her stitches are internal so I hope she heals well because it looks quite big now. I had called before I booked the appointment to get a quote which they honoured.

I just had my dog neutered a couple of weeks ago. I had gone to this clinic about 5 years back and had no issues. I also know others who have gone without any problems. This visit was different. The vet tech mis-weighed my dog's body weight and only upon my request was he reweighed. She had weighed him 8 lbs under his proper weight which is concerning given that anesthetic is based on body weight. Also the instruction label regarding administration of the pain medication was incorrect, I called the next day to clarify. The string attaching the cone was too tight something I noticed after it was removed as there was an opening on his skin. Surgically, everything was fine, no complaints there. Kudos to receptionist Mary Ann... very friendly and helpful. Would I return? Yes, however I would continue to be observant of the pre- and post care provided. The cost certainly is reasonable.

This clinic is terrible. Lots of complications post surgery...felt like they gave my animal back too quickly after surgery. There is a reason they are so cheap! This is major surgery for your beloved pet. Would you go to the cheapest place possible to have your uterus removed? I have learned a valuable lesson...you get what you pay for.

Just had my dog spayed here a few weeks ago and would definitely recommend them! Everbody was very friendly, no waiting around for service. When I picked my dog up she was doing as well as could be expected they gave me pain meds & the cone as well as paper work and told me how to best care for her for the next few days. By the next night my dog (ginger) was pretty much back to her normal self. she is now all healed with no issues at all! Definite 2 thumbs up and the bonus was it didn't cost me my retirement savings to get it done!

I see that the reviews below are older, and I would assume reflect a staff that isn't there anymore. The service has always been great. They look forward to seeing my dogs here. They have spayed or neutered all of our cats and dogs without any incident and have been punctual and caring throughout. The value is fantastic and yes, there are no frills, but I really don't need to be pampered. Do the job and do it well - and they did. The vet called me personally and gave me his cell to follow up on a health issue my new puppy had, so I have been very impressed with their service to date.

I was scared of going to this clinic, cause of the reviews. I took my german sheppherd yesterday for spaying, and they were really good. My dog this morning is perfect , the cut is not even red. I realized that rude , unhappy people are the ones to complain all the time and write reviews, that's why I am posting this, a happy and thankful client. Don't listen to the bad reviews cause the value is great.

Our 1 year old girl was just spayed here today and died about 2 hours after from being picked up....I will make sure this Dr. Hemil never touches another animal again. I will get this place shut down, with your help hopefully. I will check back with more details.

We had an appointment for the Monday, took the morning off work (with lost pay) and found out they had sent us to the wrong place... I mean an hour in the wrong direction. Called, made a new appointment and were promised at 10% discount. Went today, they are almost 2 hours late opening (again, lost pay) and they charged us (even with the discount) $65 more than we were quoted. I called to see how our dog was, and was told that if there was a problem, they would have called us. I didn't expect great service from a place that is so busy and with such a low price, but I at least expected them to be there for our appointments! I have found the staff at this clinic to be very unprofessional and sincerely hope that they are better at surgery than they are at customer service! I will post again later if there were any problems with her surgery or if our issues were not ressolved when we pick her up.

I would have rather paid five times the regular amount then to ever take either of my dogs back there. They were horrible and my dog had complications that could have been prevented. I will never go there or recommend anyone else to go there. I was in no way rude to them, I was just asking questions, and they were rude to me and implied I was a bad owner. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL

This was a TERRIBLE place. I was scheduled for a neutering appointment for my cat, but after finding out what sort of place it was, I decided to cancel the appointment. The woman at the front desk was incredibly RUDE and they charged me the full amount for the surgery DESPITE the fact that I had not signed a contract NOR received any sort of service. When I phoned the visa company, it turned out that it's part of the clinic's "merchant policy" and there was nothing I can do about it unless I carry them to court. They are CROOKS! I wouldn't recommend that ANYONE ever take their beloved pets to this clinic. The staff are incredibly RUDE, DO NOT take responsibility for their mistakes, and DO NOT CARE for your animal's well being. They should be shut down IMMEDIATELY. I am so livid with the fact that they're allowed to get away with this garbage! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. DO NOT.

best place I ever went to. Staff were excellent and veterinarian is an excellent surgeon. They are very busy. They are only rude if you are rude. I saw that for myself....they even had to call police to evict somebody. I was there and could not believe how they kept their temper. It was not because of anything they had done. They had not even admitted the animal and were refusing to due to rudeness and swearing of client! I felt so sorry for them. My dog got great care and attention as did I. I highly recommend them. People also have to remember that most people who write on sites like this are upset for some reason or other.....most happy clients do not write in or even say thank you....me for one....I should have looked for this site a long time ago and said a big thank you to them....never too late!

I have had ten cats spayed/netured at the clinic for the past 8yrs. with absolutely no complications. Also, I used there dental services for my older cats; same cats that they had fixed. No problems. I've compared prices of other veterinaries for these types of services and estimate that I have saved a thousands over the years --- I rescue cats. Now, I will agree that the staff can be a bit curt but it really is no different from the other full service veterinary clinics where it's all show at the counter. I am surprised people are knocking down this clinic and give them credit where it's due -- I personally witnessed some extremely rude clients at this clinic. At the end of the day I still take my felines for the dental, vaccines or spay/neuter and can frankly say that I could not help the rescues if it wasn't for this clinc's low cost. A real customer who's happy with the service.

It took an over an hour to just check our two dogs in and we waited another hour at the end of the day to pick up our dogs. The aftercare information sheet was vague and no one at the clinic took the extra time to explain to us what to expect after the surgery. The place looks run down and the staff appeared overworked, therefore they were less inclined to be more thorough and detailed in explaining things to the customers. The pricing is very competitive and the overall experience was not terrible. If you are looking for you and your pet to be pampered, pay the extra $200 and get your pet neutered at a vet clinic. This is your typical in and out type of business, where quantity surpasses quality. The bottom line is both our dogs are recovering and doing fine.

I am so so so so so sorry I took my pet to that clinic!!!! First off, they give you 2 pieces of paper that pretty much tell you the same thing:no exercise and wear the funnel. On one of the 2 papers, it's the emergency line information.Well on it, does not tell u signs of infection,pain,etc.,no1 at the clinic told me any of it too.I'm a nurse,THANK GOD any of the stuff at that clinic doesn't treat humans because they would all be in jail.The emergency line is terrible,she just yelled at me for asking if my dog received an antibiotic,since it doesnt say it anywhere on the papers,or verbally and my dog is getting a new redness and more swelling.VERY RUDE!!!When I read the reviews,I thought ppl are being spoiled but I will never try to cheap out on my puppy again!!The emergency line said that it's only for dogs that are dieing,infection can lead to dead,why not prevent that from happening!STUFF=EXTREMELY RUDE.HOPE THEY SHUT DOWN!the only nice ppl were the operators and calling back nurse.

the staff isnt kind but not rude and there is a lady there that is nice but does not work all the time..got my boy neutered and he is fine. i'd reccomend it...but if you have the extra money just go to your vet

WOW I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO BETRAYED IN MY LIFE!My kitten was fixed this past november and up until now everything was great with him until he started SPRAYING AND MAKING MOANING NOISES AT OTHER CATS! This morning I took my cat to my vetrinarian as I couldnt understand why he was acting out to my SUPRISE my vet told me that my 8 month old kitten HAD NEVER been fixed! I spoke with the so called staff and doctors from the Missisauga Spay & Neuter Clininc located on dixie & eglington,whom didnt return my calls after 2 had been placed finally returned my call from a "private number"and honestly to my suprise it was like the staff and doctor were mad at me! for what- you are the ones who billed me and kept my cat for a surgery he NEVER had! I would never in my worst dreams imagine this kind of stuff happens BUT clearly it did at this establishment. Proper action NEEDS to take place at this so called clininc. Im meeting with the staff/doctor later this week and will have a better understanding

OMG... The staff yes they were polite and only writing this cause NO one should go thru the experience that I went thru…. This clinic is cheap for a reason they brutalize my dog. They give you an emergency pager number to call but they don’t call you back. They don’t give receipts. You are better to spend the money and go to the vet. I thought because they do 40 animals a day they would have experience in what they do. But I was WRONG I spent more money cause I had to take my dog to his vet and my dog had to get surgery again to fix there mistake it’s CHEAP for a reason if you LOVE your furry pet PLEASE DON’T GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! They are bad they need to be close down…. I read the reviews before I went to this clinic and I assumed because they do so many animals a day that this horrifying tragedy wouldn’t happen to me but I was wrong!

I have no idea why so many people are complaining about the staff. I took my cat there to be spayed about a year ago and found them to be very polite and courteous. I called today to book an appointment for my brothers cat and again, was met with a prompt phone call back and a very polite lady booked an appointment for me. I will let you know how my brother's experience goes but I have to say that mine was great. staff were good and I got my cat spayed at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

The front desk staff was rude. I don't even think vetranarian was there. I looked him up on OVA and he is licenced. So far my cat seems fine, got him neutered. I'm taking my cat to his regular vet, who loves him and kisses him when he sees him! I would never recommend this vet to ANYONE. Despite the prices. I would rather pay a little more and actually get to consult and talk to the doctor and be greeted with a smile.

Okay like the others here, the staff is rude!! They seem like they really hate their jobs, the Vet included. He was rude and I didn't even know he was a Vet by his lack of professionalism. I could hear a dog(in a back room) moaning the whole time I was there with my little guy. (my dog was getting vaccines.) While the dog was moaning, I heard the Vet and his assistant or whatever she was talking. She must have felt bad for the dog because I heard him say 2 times: "It's not your dog, it's not your dog, just remember that." They refused to give me any paper work. All the other Vets I've been to give you a paper with a printout of what you had done. Not this one. I asked for one and they told me no. Just flat out no. I think this place needs to be shut down. It's low cost but it's low care too.

I have never encountered such a rudeness from a vet's office in my ENTIRE life. Front desk staff was incredibly disrespectful, I will NEVER go back to this clinic and don't suggest it to ANYONE. The rates are very good however you get exactly what you pay for. If you care about your pet DO NOT take them to this clinic!!!

I dropped my 8mth old Boston to be neutered today.when i picked him up i experienced the following. I was told by the dr that i was getting a full refund. when i asked why he snapped at me, was very unprofessional and arrogant. "your dog had an epileptic seizure we didn't do the surgery!" he said, i became upset - just tears is all and asked why they didn't call me (they did at 1:50 to which i returned the phone call at 2pm (worried) and never rec'd a call back). I was told your dog is fine why are you so upset? i was also lied to when they said they called in the morning too(no) and didn't leave a message at 1:50 because my answering machine didn't work (not the case) i was told to get my dog and leave several times without any explanation. i asked for something in writing i was told by the dr "i don't have to give you anything". i asked when this happened he replied i don't know, or remember. This experience was horrible. If you want to gamble with your pets life then go here.

Great service and very helpful and informative staff and vet. I can't recommend this place enough. There is no reason to have to spend $600 (as quoted by another vet in Miss) to have a female pup spayed. This place is great. Very accommodating.
