After almost 9 years I have stopped taking my dog to this animal hospital. The first several years they were excellent but recently they have drastically raised their prices. I recently called to get a refill on my dogs heartworm preventative, the receptionist stated I could stop in and pick up the refill. When I arrived to get the medication they looked up my dogs record and stated that she would have to be blood tested before they would give me the heartworm preventative. My beagle was seen eight months ago for a routine exam, vaccinations are up to date and we are very responsive to her health needs, she is also a young dog with no medical problems. Our dog is 1 yr.old. I feel that as with many vets they have become greedy and insist on bloodwork that simply is not needed. The vets have always been kind and caring but I simply cannot afford to pay for blood tests that are unnecessary. I have transferred to a new vet hospital.
