Click to report rating    2/11/14   4     2     4     3   I have been taking our dog there for almost 2 years, and have been satisfied. I do prefer some of the doctors over the other, but in general have gotten thorough care.HOWEVER, I did board my dog there once for 1 week and my dog came back aggressive and is scared to go back into the building ever since then. This is in comparison to having boarded him at Petsmart several times before and after this episode, and our dog loves it there, even eagerly goes into the building.I will continue medical checkups here, but will never board my dog here again - I will sooner give up our vacation. Click to report rating    7/11/11   5     1     4     1   First, let me say that the veterinarians are GREAT. I've dealt with doctors DeNunziata and Heller and they are knowledgeable, friendly and truly helpful. My issue with Steinbach is Boarding. My springer spaniel is a very healthy dog however the past three times I've boarded my dog there (for a one-week stay), they have returned my dog to me sick. The first two times my dog picked up kennel cough and today she was treated for an upper GI virus. I have no confidence in boarding my dog there anymore. To add insult to injury (literally), they charge you for the medication your pet will need to recover (they do not charge you for the office visit or blood work). My bill today was $82 broken down as follows: Examination-Courtesy $0, Spec CPL Snap test $0, Cerenia Injection $31, Hazardous Waste Removal $2.50, Famotidine Injection $12, Metronidazole 250mg $22.50, and Carafate 1gm $14. Total = $82 I will continue to use Steinbach for annual care, but NEVER again for boarding. RID: 26138
