They are the finest bunch I have met in decades. They all truly care about you and your pet. I've encountered a few of late that were only out to 'run the meter'. He restored my faith in the profession.

Dr Catinny is simply the best, better then all the rest! His knowledge (He's like a walking encyclopedia for animal care), kindness (will sit on the floor and show love to your pet), and the care & comfort he shows for your pet is beyond words. Dr Catinny and his Technician Mike made a night house call for me,(my dog needed a cold laser treatment for her legs - I highly recommend this treatment!)and the next morning, he was already in his office! His dedication for the love of animals comes first, and I would highly recommend you bringing your "family member" to him! Sure, there's a wait in his office, but you are waiting for the best, plus, his office is open 7 days a week! He gets 10 Stars in my book! His office staff is eager to help you and friendly! Makes you feel like you're at home! GREAT GREAT DOCTOR!

This place is mediocre at best. My time is important but not to them. They low ball you up front and then many times our dog "has to be hospitalized" since only when in hospital, at great expense, can she be treated. Tried to change vets and would not send full copy of records when I asked twice. Not even sure if they have records :-(

This vet is amazing and so is his staff. He is honest, thorough and extremely knowledgable. He is the only reason my mixed lab lived to 14 1/2. Even when it was time to let my dog go, he was sympathetic and wonderful. The only vet I would ever go to! The waiting room is often busy but he is worth the wait. One visit and you will see. He is truly an animal lover (as is his staff) and it shines through.

I brought my dog to Dr. Cattiny and she was quite ill. He diagnosis her as having a severe case of lymes disease and arthritis. I took her home with the medication and his orders but two days later she was not doing better. I took her back at the doctor's request and he felt he could treat her much better if she were to stay and be watched over all the time as I work all day. She was put on different medication and a different food regimen, and in a couple of days I noticed a huge improvement. She stayed a little longer and on the day of her release I would never have known she was sick. She was her old self again. During this Dr. Cattiny and his staff never discussed financial matters. His only concern was to help her get better and he never gave up hope. I would highly recommend his clinic to everyone. Lady wants to thank you all for helping her. Jennifer Josephs

Dr. George Catinny has been Lucky, my Bichon Frise, vet since he came into our family over 10 years ago. He has provided excellent care, I wouldn't use any other vet. He is the best! he offers recommendations and he keeps out dog healthy! Denise & Patricia D'Antono

The doctors and staff at this facility do everything possible to thoroughly care for the pet, and to reassure the pet's owner. They always take the time necessary to assess each animal's medical needs,while demonstrating utmost care and kindness. The same compassion and reassurance is extended to the pet's family. Furthermore, if I need to contact the Dr. for any emergency, I know I will receive a response quickly, no matter what the hour. In the same manner, less urgent medical problems are looked at with the same thoroughness, and treated accordingly. Time is taken to instruct the owner about any procedures needed to be followed up at home.The Doctors stay informed and involved with the current research in the field. An example is the technique of Cold laser therapy. My dog receives this for joint problems, as he ages. It has made a marked improvement in his mobility. The treatments are given bi-weekly, at a reasonable cost. I have recommended this clinic to friends and colleagues.

It seems that in the field of health care - whether it be for humans or animals - importance has become less about the desire to help and heal, and more about making money. This is why Dr. George Cattiny has seriously become something of a hero to me. It's not only the patience and empathy that he has shown to my dog and I, it is the way he interacts with his staff and every other patient that enters his Animal Hospital. This is someone that exudes confidence, intelligence, and genuine concern. He works long after hours to ensure that the animals in his care are getting nothing but the absolute best treatment they possibly can. Examining a larger dog on a stainless steel table? Not for Dr. George. He sits on the floor so he can be at eye level with your pet. Dr. George is truly a breath of fresh air, and we are so lucky to have found him.

I can't comprehend how anyone could be unhappy with Dr. Cattiny. He always takes his time with patients, eases the worries of owners, available for questions or consolation. Totally dedicated to his patients,insists on perfection from his staff (and they live up to his expectations:) Not more expensive than others just more caring and careful. No place is better than PLAH IF you want the best for the pet you love.

He is very expensive. Will make tons of unnecessary tests and have you pay for them. All he cares about is money. He does not care for animals. He is always triple booked and lobby is full. Stuff is very unfriendly. All those good reviews were written by his coworkers and friends. He will never waste any time answering your questions.

Dr. Cattiny saved my dogs life! when I got my black lab/border collie from a shelter in mississippi, he had a terrible case of heartworm which the shelter told me they got rid of before i got him. from what I hear it is very difficult to treat this condition. Dr. Cattiny was amazing and he knew exactly how to treat him and in 2 days he was cured. every time i have been to him he has an answer for everything and is such a careing person. i will never go to another vet again!

I had a terrible experience at this hospital My dog was brought here as I was getting on a plane in CA to come back to NJ. Her situation was grave. The vet on call spoke to me once on the phone, then never followed up with any test results she had done on the dog and never even called me to tell me my dog had passed. The bill I received was atronomical for a dying dog that was in their care for about 3 hours.

Dr. George is GREAT. Most of his staff is great too. Be wary of info received from telephone staff. Bu all in all Dr. George is a true gift to his patients. He's such a caring man.

Advertises a 24 hour emergency service. The service is NOT reliable in that it is poorly monitored and supported. I recently lost a young Lab because George Cattiny didn't answer his so-called emergency line and others have echoed my experience. Don't place the life of your pet at risk!

The BEST vet, we drive from manhattan to see him. He is great with our dog and incredibly dedicated. I used to attend UIUC and my dog went to a vet with an MD who switched to animals. We have very high standards and this place met them. Also, a very pit bull friendly clinic.

Dr. George Cattiny and the Staff at Pompton Lakes Animal Hospital are THE BEST! I have dogs and cats of my own, and also do rescue work~they are always there for me and the animals~caring and compassionate service! Dr. Cattiny is a true animal lover.
