DONT GO HERE!! They misdiagnosed my dog and thankfully I drove him straight to emergency after they discharged him because he wouldn't have made it through the night. When I called the manager to complain I was told I was a liar and a was told and made aware of his condition. She also said It was my fault, not theirs that my dog ingested whatever he did. I hope no other family has to go through what our family just did with them.Complete lack of communication and compation, I'm disgusted.

I've been coming to this clinic for 5yrs. I was generally happy with the service but unfortunately things changed once Dr. Orser retired. The practice has been left in the hands of very junior vets and things on both the treatment, diagnostic and client service side have gone very downhill. Zero issues taking money but not so good on following up and providing value and service.

Went to this animal hospital for many years. Have watch it steadily deteriorating. There is a great turnover of drs. Which tells me a lot, the staff can be very rude, as well as the vet. Thought the clinic was still, as he told me, owned by dr. Orser, but have found out it has been sold to a large company. I had a dog that was being treated there for a knee problem when I kept telling the vet she was very sick and not from her knee. After several visits with the vet just giving more pain meds, and 500 in bills, I took my dog to another vet. Five minutes into the exam the vet told me I am sorry your girl has kidney cancer. A friends pet was treated there and after treatment and several over prescribed medicines and thousands of dollars in vet bills is now very sick and is being treated elsewhere. In my opinion run don’t walk to another hospital

Have been going to Dr. Orser for about 15 years now. Have always been pleased with my pets appointments. I have had my cat for 8 years now, as a male, and was very disturbed and upset to here that my cat is actually a female. My cat has been at this office atleast four times before for regular visits and was not told back then, at one years old, that my cat was not a MALE! I was not impressed by this lack of diagnosis. With something so simple as that it makes me question what really important things are being missed! Also, when I booked my appointment weeks ago, I was given a verbal estimate by the receptionist as to how much an exam and vaccinations were going to cost. On that appointment day it ended up costing more that quoted on the phone. The receptionist didn't seem to care when I told her what I was quoted. Overall was not impressed with the whole appointment. Seriously thinking of going elsewhere next time as was not happy at all!!

Have always found all staff and doctors good, helpful and caring. Had an emergency the other day, they were able to see her quickly and after tests were able to resolve her issues. I will continue to use them.

One of my worst experiences with my beloved pet.Booked the appointment to put our dog to sleep, had a large tumor that was non operative terminal cancer. He took a turn for the worst quickly, couldn't walk eat, drink or go on his own to the washroom. We made the decision to put him down and at peace. There was no contact with us, and didn't even tell us what to expect or even the procedures that would take place. im so horrified about the whole experience that i wanted to share, please, please meet with the family and go over the details and make sure they know what to expect...my poor dog was having so much anxiety, crying and even barking ...trying to get over to me to be near me but couldn't get up...he was so nervous and scared and nobody had even talked to us at all...to explain how it works... i was so devastated and could not get in to my car....they didn't give him anything to calm him down...he yelped and cried as the vet shoved the needle into him as we had to hold him down

My little 10lb chihuahua mix was attacked on our property by a Coyote recently and needed to see a vet on a Sunday when my usual vet wasn't open. My dog wasn't bleeding, rather puncture marks on the neck where it tried to grab her but they got me in within an hour to make sure she was OK.
Dr. Lauren Martin was the vet we saw and she absolutely amazing. She explained what happens in these types of attacks and what the plan would be over the next 48 hours.
The facility itself is super clean and bright with natural light and there is coffee, juice and water while you wait. One my second visit they even made me a coffee and served it to me!
The front staff are crazy friendly and everyone seems to enjoy what they are doing. Price wise I think they are pretty much the norm and there were no surprises.
Dr. Martin will now be our new vet and already made an appointment to take my German Shepherd into see her for her yearly checkup. Thanks again Aloutte Animal Hospital.

mostly good experiences with the vet assistants & doctors. BUT yesterday dealt with the female Office Manager and Owner, Dr. Orser who were BOTH extremely rude to me. I was misadvised by a doctor there on an $80 med I bought in the fall. The Office Manager denied my request as ‘they would be out of pocket’. She didn't even humour me with an apology for the doctor’s error, acknowledge my justified frustration, or even attempt to find a ‘win-win’ solution. Then I requested the owner, Dr. Orser. I started by wanting to express my dissatisfaction with the Office Mgr, and he immediately cut me off telling me he didn’t want to hear it. My patience was done and can admit that I called him an a**hole and that I would transfer to another vet. I went back to the front desk to purchase a different med I had previously ordered that is for my cat’s kidney’s. The vet assistants were told not to sell me anything and just asked me where I would be transferring. That is petty and arrogant.

This vet has let me down a few times, but the biggest let down was when my dog was bleeding quite badly from a dog fight. I called to see if she could be seen right away and the receptionist didn't seem to understand the urgency. She said I could drop her off if I want to but she won't be seen for an hour and a half. I chose to go to a different vet.

I have had a few occasions I have had to take my cat in for emergencies as I have another vet who was not available, and the staff has been very accommodating. Dr. Orser was VERY caring with my cat.. I have always appreciated his taking the time to relieve my concerns! I have never seen him be rude to anyone....busy yes, not rude.

The biggest concern it seems for most people on here is the price, if someone in your family needed medical attention that seemed expensive would you complain? My cat was attacked by dogs and they did everything to make sure she would be ok, and took her right in without question. If you need to question the money then maybe owning a pet isn't for you!

Took my pets to this vet for over 15 yrs and was pleased. Dr Orser can be rude and unfeeling, but I thought he knew his stuff so kept going back. One of my dogs developed an eye disorder. Seen by 3 vets at this clinic and none could agree on the diagnosis or treatment. Dr Orser recommened surgery. Felt uneasy so went to Maple Ridge Veterinary Hospital. The didn't know what was wrong so immediately referred us to an eye specialist. The specialist was able to correctly diagnosis my dog's problems. Was advised eye surgery wouln't work. She's been on eye ointment for 2 yrs now and will not go blind. If I'd stayed with Allouette I would have spent a ton of money and my dog would have gone blind. Allouette just wants the all mighty dollar and doesn't care about the animals best interest.

I have had 3 dogs to this clinic over the period of 15 years and the doctors and staff have been absolutely wonderful, there have been several vets gone through this facility that I would recommend and they have gone on to own their own pratice and I would take my dog or cat to any of them but Dr.Mike Orser is the best as far as I am concerned.

Dr. Orser is the best. Period. No one else works on our dogs. He is a totally experienced pro. He has seen it all and done it all. He has operated on 2 of our dogs as well as my old cat. He seems to know what is wrong with them within 2 minutes of being in the examining room. If you want to be sure the first time, he's your guy. I know all will turn out well when my animals are in his hands. I really don't care about the folks behind the counter. For the quality of work he does, it's worth what he charges. Thanks Dr. Orser! Mandy, Alicia, Sassy and Toby!

I had been hearing things that weren't very comforting but decided to give Dr. Orser another chance. My husband took our cat in not knowing anything of what I had heard. When he came home he was appalled at how uncaring, cold and uninterested he seemed about our concerns. We will not ever return to this clinic.

reception staff quite rude and not very personable. rush you through and treat you like a pay check. always different vets there, high turnover. vets are always young and seem to be just out of vetrinary school. Not the most expereinced. i have been there 3 times and will not take my animals there again. probably the most expensive practice around. However, the vets are very nice people and caring. The front staff need sensitivity training and need to learn the skills needed to interact with customers in a decent manner.

Dr. Orser and his staff are amazing! my dog had a huge mass in his abdomen that turned out to be a 8LB tumor on his spleen! Dr. Orser removed it and my dog is fianlly becoming his self again! Dont mess around with the care of your animals! they are the best, called me with updates, let me visit as long as i wanted when my dog was hospitalized overnight and best of all REALLY CARED about my dog! a full recovery is expected and i can rest easy knowing that i had the best care possible for my dog. People say he is expensive but so what! you get what you pay for and more with them! Thank You so much Dr. Orser and Staff!!! Love Lindsay and Havok!!! <3

took my furbaby (LG RIP) there after another vet almost killed her & Dr. Orser fixed her right up and she lived for another precious 1 1/2 yrs. The staff sometimes don't acknowledge you on arrival but the care & compassion far exceeds the fact of a hello. A friend's cat had an emergency (after a cheaper vet messed him up more then he was before) & we were ushered into a room before we could get all the way in the door! With other vets I have gone too in the last 20+ years this one is fantastic. It's expensive but I believe you do get what you pay for. All our furbabies present & future will be going here.

Clean!! modern & fully equipt. I stuck with this practice after trying several others. Been going there over six years. I've always been very pleased. Staff have always been friendly and accomodating Dr. Orser is easily understood, caring, compassionate and knowledgable. I don't find the prices there more than other equally equipped hospitals. No hidden add on costs. You should never bargain hunt when looking for a vet if you want top quality care. I feel I get that at Allouette.

Overpriced considering every time I go there, there are different brand new vets. For their prices, I would choose a vet who has been practicing for some time. Not big on Orser either. He can be a bit cold.

The staff is always very nice and they go out of their way to be kind and compassionate. The facility is really nice, they have obviously gone to a lot of effort here. The doctors are usually running behind but I didn't have to wait when I had an emergency with my dog. They are more expensive but I trust them completely with my fur-family so I'm happy to pay knowing that they love my pets and that they are safe!

Rude staff at times! Dr.Orser is excellant at normal procedures. They are rather expensive and are always busy, not enough vets for their size of staff. Have had a few bad experiences but they are probably the best in town.

I found this place more like an assembly line. The staff were rude and wouldn't even let me go into the back with my baby when he was having a staple removed from his paw. (Which I would like to add was a bad choice of treatment in the first place.) I will not be going back.

Dr. Orser and his staff are very caring and give excellent top notch care to my furry babies. I have 2 yorkies and 1 lab cross who he has provided excellent loving care to. He has also looked after my lab cross whom at 15 is now at rainbow bridge. I'd be the first to recommend Dr. Orser and his hospital. He is the best,His clinic is spotless very clean, bright top of the line facility but very affordable.
