We have been coming to this vet for 15 years, before it was owned by the Dr Bajwas even. All the vets over the years have been excellent and caring. I am surprised by other comments as we have never been pushed into unnecessary expenses. I suspect many others do not appreciate the true costs of quality care nor do they understand an immediate diagnosis is not always possible. The same owners who resist appropriate tests being done want instant answers... and they just go find a vet who will tell them something whether it is true or not. The vets here lay out the options clearly, show me the X-rays and lab results, and refer appropriately to specialist care when needed and provide all data to the other vet without any hassles. As well, they have been spectacular at providing end iCloud's discussions and care for 3 of our elderly cats when the time came. They came to our house and did a peaceful, caring euthanasia where our cats were not scared and were held in our arms.

Without going into personal details, I urge others to avoid this clinic at all costs. Not only have I had a terrible experience here, but it is well known within the community that this is the last place you should bring your pet. The experience was immensely disappointing, and incredibly costly. The most important thing you can do when your pet's health is at stake is take them to someone you trust - these people are simply not trustworthy. If you are looking for a highly knowledgeable vet or diagnostician this simply isn't the place to go.

We've been taking our cats, LB and Gizmo, here for two years and we love it. You can tell that the vets and staff love and care for all animals. They never overperscribe and always walk us through all the options to allow us to decide. Highly recommended.

took my dog here, they were great. Staff was very friendly they were doing their best. Doctors were great they really care. They were going through some renos but i feel that the staff and doctors did ( and do) a great job. Thank you Hastings vet

Since moving to Burnaby 10 years ago I have taken all my cats here. The two very caring Vets who work there the most are brothers. They have hired on 2 more Vets in the past 2 years and we've been mostly happy with them, too. The brothers have always been very sweet and attentive to my cats and given us advice but never forced us to do anything we didn't want to. They give a discount for having multiple animals and we have never felt like they were just after our money! They recently hired some new techs and front desk staff who come across as a little cold and just doing a job but hopefully they'll warm up soon! When we've had to have our cats stay there they have always let us go in and visit them nightly until we could bring them home again!! Our cats have all had different temperaments and they have been great with all of them, even when my feistiest girl was having a bad day! I would recommend Hastings St. Animal Hospital to anyone with pets who need Vet care.

I am disgusted by the treatment my cat received at this clinic and I want EVERYONE to know your animal could be in harms way. If you love your animal, DO NOT TAKE THEM TO HASTINGS STREET ANIMAL CLINIC. They will be overdosed and neglected if left in their care. My cat was overdosed (my regular vet has since told me he was prescribed over twice the amount she would prescribed in his situation, which caused him to have a violent seizure which may have done permanent damage). He was also starved for over 24 hours. He is a Hyperthyroid cat. This is a form of animal neglect. They knew of his condition and failed to feed him or call us when their technician cancelled and they could not perform the procedure that we had booked him for. Instead, they booked it for 7 hours later and continued to fast my hyperthyroid animal. We don't know if we can undo the damage that my cat was put through the day we take him to this clinic. KEEP YOUR ANIMALS AWAY FROM HERE!!

All I can say is this is the worst vet ever. He is obviously not a fan of dogs and I just have a 25lbs. dog. I went to the vet because of some symptoms my dog was having. After $80+ or so he sent me home with no answers just a bunch of maybes I went back a week later and suddenly looks like my dog has allerges he charged me again $80 even though i went for the same thing because the first time I got no answers. He put my dog to sleep once without asking me, just told me what he was doing while doing it. He just wants to rack up everyones bills as much as possible. I absolutly hate it there and will never go back!

A very simple yet most effective way of taking care of our pets : the vet listens to my concerns, has a great beside manner with my 2 kitty's and is knowledgeble. Also the staffing is friendly and clinic is clean. It won't be easy to find such good people if I ever move out of Vancouver.

BE WARNED! I took my dog here a couple of years ago and have yet to forget that had I stayed here and listened to their advise, I would not have the same dog today. In an emergency, take your dog to an emergency hospital!!!! No matter what they say, do not let your dog stay here for something you think is dire.

My friend asked me to take my pooch in for the routine exam once and I was so amazed by Dr Bajwa's knowledge and obvious care n love for dogs, that I had to make him my regular vet. I ve seen both the regular vets (brothers) and their locum since then and it seems the are very particular about having great staff - everyone is so cheerful and caring there. Being open weekends is a definate plus too. BEST VET !

Highly recommended hospital. The staff and vets are wonderful. They are all so caring and kind, and they treated my pet so well. The facility is really nice. Staff really enjoy working their job.

I have been taking my 2 dogs here for years now. Service has been very consistent. All procedures and estimates are well explained, with amazing followup phone calls. I have recommended friends and family here and they are all happy.

Only one word for this clinic and the Doctors... "Fantastic". I had become a client for this clinic since I moved from Victoria Island as one of my friend recommended it. And I will say this has been the onc of the best recommendatios of my life and their has a stong reason behind it. My cat eat string and she needed immidiate care and i reached the hospital when it was about to close and doctor had already left. He especially came for my cat cos I was a client there (This is called service). My lovely cat was hospitalized there after surgery for 4 days and the feeling of love and care I could see and feel in every staff when ever i visited or talked over the fone was amazing. I am really really thankful to them for the passion they showed in saving my cats life which is beyond the value for the money. GOD BLESS THEM.

My 2 dogs get have been getting treated at Hastings Vet since they were puppies and thye get the most thorough and practical care that any of my dogs in the past would have got. These guys are the best and trustworthy. No drama or pushing stuff onto clients, just professional loving care. I m happy as ever to have found this clinic.

i should have listened to a friend who told me not to go here!!!!but because i did not have much money and i dont have a car i had to go here.all i can say is that i should have just walked all the way to blue cross pet hospital or north burnaby vet.the vet here is unprofessional and very rough with my dog.never again!
