Click to report rating    3/13/13   5     5     5     5   I have been a client at First Regional Animal Hospital for 13 years and counting and have received nothing but the most stellar care. From general practice - DR. Joyner - who takes a "less-is-more" approach except when he has information that leads him to believe that more tests/treatments are necessary - to internal medicine - Dr. Babyak - where I believe I have seen the number one specialist in veterinary medicine. Dr. Babyak is "second to no one" in her knowledge in treating complex diseases and her bedside manner with both my "babies" and this baby (me!) is amazing. Recently (2010) I adopted two elderly cats with the purpose of giving two older and less adoptable cats the "best rest of their life possible". I could not provide them the "best rest of their life" with any other vet than First Regional. I say this from my heart. They are hands-down the absolute best choice in veterinary care....without question! RID: 41052
Click to report rating    10/31/10   1     3     1     1   Expensive, rude, slow and uncaring. There was an exorbinant up-front cost before they even agreed to look at my dog whose foot was swollen and festering and she was obviously in a great deal of pain. I was the only person in the hosp. and it still took them over an hour to even look at my dog. The initial exam (and charge) didn't even cover a determination of the problem, just that ther WAS a problem... DUH! Then, for an extra charge and another hour later they determined what the cause of the problem was. Then, for another charge and another hour, they finally treated my dog. What a nightmare. Go somewhere else if you love your pet. RID: 20587
Click to report rating    2/14/10   5     5     5     1   very expensive, $2100+ & they did not know what was wrong with our cat. Vets need to balance all the expensive tests with what's reasonable to spend for a pet & give more general care rather than delving into every possibility at the distraught owner's expense. They ignored our questions after we took our cat home , referring us to our 'regular' vet. Would not go there again. RID: 16595
Click to report rating    9/17/07   5     5     5     5   We brought our dying kitty here on a Sunday in 2005 because it was the only place open and it became painfully clear over the weekend that Rajah's suffering had become unbearable for him and he had to be euthanized. It was the hardest decision my husband and I have ever made but the staff decisively recognized our predicament the moment we walked in holding him. They afforded us unbelievable compassion, gave us space to grieve, and allowed us all the time we needed to get closure with the process. They took us to a homey private room with sofa chairs and a fire place and let us spend our final moments with Rajah in peace and love. About a week later we received a sympathy card and Rajah's paw print on a card with his name in calligraphy and nicely bordered. They are truly wonderful and we're so grateful for their kindness. Click to report rating    5/26/07   5     5     4     5   This hospital strives to provide all the state of the art equipment, and knowledgeable doctors available. Yes, they are busy, very busy, which increases wait times and hold times. If your looking for someone to truely care about your pets, this is the place, but you need to communicate your needs and concerns about your pets. If you don't bring it up, it won't get addressed. Personally, my pets love Dr.Sung, and they are always excited when they come in, since all the receptionists pet them when they comes in. I would recommend them for anyone looking for a truely professional practice with great service. RID: 4156
Click to report rating    4/9/07   1     1     1     1   This clinic is horrible. I brought my animals here thinking it'd be good since they are both an animal clinic and a 24/7 animal hospital... so if my animals ever encountered an emergency I thought it'd be nice that this place already had their records. The staff is not very friendly and it seems like the vets are there for money... the vets that I had seen did not take interest to me or my animals. I like it when you can definitely tell they they love animals and that they care about the owners as well - but here they lack that. I had to bring both of my animals back for follow ups (I had to demand this) because the vet did not take my concerns to heart and after a week the conditions worsened and the animals were treated for what I thought was the problem in the first place... if my animals were cared for properly they would have never had to go back for a follow up visit and they should have never, never gotten worse in the first place. I strongly recommend that you do not go here. RID: 3360
