Some of the vets are good, some... not so much. I had a pet in declining health examined for cancer, my regular vet was out so I thought I'd go with whoever was available. After over a grand of tests this vet said they didn't know what was wrong, but they couldn't find any tumors. A few days later I took my pet to another vet, they did the same tests all over again. Guess what they found? So here's the question: using the same tests, why does one vet see massive tumors displayed prominently on x-rays and ultrasounds, and one can't see a damn thing? Be forewarned: there are some good vets at this practice, and some... ahem, no so much!

This would be the second office I called this morning. Being new in town we had not yet established vet service for our furry family members. After being told that this office specializes in the care I was looking for, I called to make an appointment, and was extremely disappointed in whomever I spoke with. There was little regard for my pet, and even less for the situation we were experiencing. This lady spoke with was unwilling to allow us the opportunity to bring our pet in, even as an appointment status. She referred me to the emergency hospital. Though she was helpful in offering their phone numbers, I was looking to not only have my pet examined, but establish vet services for all of our furry family. Needless to say, it won't be with this facility. If I had wanted non-personal emergency care, I would have taken our pet to the emergency hospital to begin with. There were appointments available until I disclosed what I needed her seen for, (which they supposedly specialize in).

We've been using Kuenzi for over 10 years and find them to be outstanding, caring and capable. They are simply the best I've dealt with and I've owned dogs for over 50 years and have been through several vets in the past. You can't do much better for your pets care, IMHO.

This clinic is one of the best in the Waukesha area. They are very compassionate from the receptionist staff to the vet tech and the veterinarians. They have a gentle bed-side manner with the pets and never talk down to the pet owner. If you don't understand the terminology, diagnosis, etc., they are more than willing to go over it with you. They make certain you understand the diagnosis and required care. They hours are great being open late 2 nights a week and opening early in the mornings. They treat your animals like they were their own. In the cases where I had a sick animal that required care, they either had a vet or vet tech phone me in a reasonable amount of time or actually got the dog in to be looked at. I would highly recommend Kuenzi Family Pet Hospital.

Very nice facility. 2 (human like) Hospital surgery suites. Very professional staff with several (5+) vets on staff. This makes getting an appointment easy, and provides the vets with someone to confer with on difficult cases. My experience was the vet was very approchable and knowledgeable with my dog, even though she specializes in cats. Very busy practice, so punctuality and personal recognition suffer. Overall a bit more expensive than other smaller practices but quality of care can't be beat.
