I took my sweet fella here until his last day. After several test etc.. said they came back with intestinal problems, and they needed to do surgery to see where problem lies. (fyi:I asked about his digestive system a few times, as his belly always gurgled alot.) Very anxious, I called to see when we could pick him up, said all went well etc.. and I could pick him up at 11:00am. when we got there, we were told he passed away. I was so distraught! He had the nerve to ask if we wanted to donate his body for further research of the breed. Don't know what we would of done if it wasn't for his wonderful staff. It was a horrible experience and charged over $1500.00.

I understand what the other reviewers are saying. Dr. Banks' "bedside manner" can seem uncaring, because he truly is a doctor, focused on his work. He is an excellent surgeon though, and he knows what he is doing. I trust him with my 2 dogs. He has done 2 surgeries on one of mine, and he really is a great vet. Know that he is not one to make idle chit chat -- he is all business, but he is more than qualified and skilled at what he does. Prices might be a bit high, but knowing you can trust his work is worth it.

I took my dog to this vet for awhile. He always seemed rushed and not very helpful when I asked questions. The care provided is definitely not worth what is charged. When my dog became deathly ill, I found out personally how uncaring and rude this vet can be. His lack of compassion for dog owners during such a difficult time still astounds me!
