The front desk staff are not always the friendliest. The last time I was there a new person took care of me and she was kind. Dr. Doug is wonderful, caring and answers questions. The techs are wonderful as well. I do think it's much more expensive though. I trust Dr. D, so I pay.

Open your wallet or have an unlimited cash source. $90 for a small bottle of pills? One hip x-ray, a quick exam, the small bottle of pills and $350 - wow!

I started using this facility about a month ago for my dog that was diagnosed at another facility as terminal. I brought her here to find alternatives as well as to try the acupuncture treatments. Dr Kneuven was very nice and went over everything with me. He was happy to answer all my questions and didn't force anything on us. They have been able to accomodate us for the times we needed for each appointment. They are very clean and the staff has been very nice. They treat my dog very well and I like that they offer alternative treatments. The doctor also let us know that he would be out of town for a week and prewarned us that we would need to set up our appointment earlier than usual, but honestly I have been calling last minute for each appointment due to work schedules and they have gotten us in each time. Prices are slightly high, but with the success of each treatment we have gone through, I will gladly pay it for my dog. I will continue to use this facility.

Would NOT recommend this facility to anyone. The Doctor dis not answer my questions and provided no alternatives but the most costly and drastic procedure. When I asked for an alternative, I was given the same answer "get the procedure done." I went to another facility the next day and was given at least 4 options. We are starting with the least invasive and going from there. I am extremely dissappointed in the Beaver Animal Clinic and my personal opinion is they make money on their clients niavity. If you are looking for a compassionate, skilled and reasonably priced clinic in the area go to Brady's Run Veterinary Hospital - (724) 846-5381

We recently had appt for a Monday am, our large dog was very sick, trying this as last resort. On Sunday it seemed we would not be able to get him there because of his deteriorating condition. The office was closed so we tried calling Monday first thing in the morning, no one was there and no answering service. We left a message that the dog was very sick and we could not get him in the car to get there. They called and said they would charge us the full $166 fee. We asked them if they could be reasonable and reduce the fee, we weren't being cavalier about canceling the appt, the dog couldn't even stand up for us to get him in the car. The staff refused, was rude, and said "and don't even THINK of trying to reschedule your appt". We asked her what she would have been able to do if we had called Sun and given 24 hrs notice, since they weren't even open, she said nothing, but we would have followed their policy and they wldnt have charged us. Shocking lack of compassion and decency.

I've been using Beaver Animal Clinic for 2 years now for all of my rescued pets. Their prices are pretty high and get higher every year. It's enough to make me seek out a better priced veterinarian. However, I really like the vet techs and the vets. I can usually get appointments within a couple of days to 1 week of my call. I don't like the up selling they often try to do, but I just nod and then come home and find the products online for much cheaper. For the person that needed an emergency appointment for accupuncture or chiropratic care...if it's an emergency they will see you during regular business hours. But you will have to wait for a specialty appointment. If it's truly a health emergency, I would just take them in if they are open and have them seen. I don't know that accupuncture will truly save a pet if they are on deaths bed.

I can't speak to the quality of care there. They offer specialty services that my dog needs. She was deteriorating rapidly, and time was of the essence. The receptionist said they would not see my dog for another MONTH. I asked whether I should bring in her rotted corpse and the vet could show us where he *would have* put the needles and done the adjustments. I asked for a reference to another chiropractor and/or acupuncturist, and the receptionist said there WERE NONE. This is a lie and they know it; fortunately I did find someone to treat my dog, and on the *same day I called.* Beaver Animal Clinic is supposed to be all earthy-crunchy and New Age caring and concerned. But they don't reserve ANY slots for emergency or last-minute appointments?! I was basically told to let my dog die in front of me from a treatable condition. It's unbelievably callous and unprofessional to refuse to refer when you aren't willing to provice the service yourself. I'm disgusted. All the money!
