Click to report rating    8/12/13   5     5     5     5   Absolute best anywhere around! They ALL care about not only the pets, but the humans as well~ a very important aspect of the total care! RID: 46253
Click to report rating    1/4/11   5     5     5     1   I visited Dr Ohlandt's office in reference to my dog having a tumor. I was given an estimate on the surgery & other charges involved. After getting the estimate, I checked with three or four other vets in the area & found that the surgery would be $300 or more higher at Dr Ohlandts office than at the other vet's for the same service. Other than that, everone was very nice. RID: 21769
Click to report rating    6/12/10   5     5     5     5   They are gowing fast and have managed it well. They will soon have a new state of the art facility RID: 18341
Click to report rating    2/2/10   5     5     5     5   I have moved to Summerville. I just got a puppy, and I would not dream of not making the drive. Their care to the animal and human does not compare to all that I know from friends and family going to other vets. It's a joy-and they've been with me thru animals over the years...18 years old several of them, and they made us comfortable to everyones last days! RID: 16412
Click to report rating    1/27/10   5     5     4     5   Ohlandt Vet. Clinic is fantastic. Not only is the staff friendly, helpful and genuinely caring (as evidenced by their partnership with the local shelter: Pet Helpers) but they are perhaps one of the most affordable vets I have been to. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Charleston. RID: 16335
Click to report rating    5/12/09   4     5     1     4   Dr. Ohlandt's office has treated a number of family pets throughout the years. In general, I am pleased with the level of care; however, as the years have progressed and his office has grown, we seem to wait longer for appointments. The earliest I have been seen in my last four vet appointments is 30 minutes later than my scheduled time. And that was the earliest I was seen. While his new vets seem like nice competent young vets, I am also somewhat disappointed that I can never seem to get an appointment with Dr. Ohlandt himsel despite going to him for over 30 years. RID: 12771
Click to report rating    3/16/09   5     5     5     5   Dr. John Ohlandt is an excellent veterinarin - knowledgeable, compassionate, caring - I could go on and on. I trust him implicitly. RID: 12125
Click to report rating    2/13/08   5     5     5     5   Dr. Ohlandt has cared for the 30+ gibbons at the IPPL gibbon sanctuary in Summerville since 1977. This involves home visits (an hour's drive each way) as well as in-office care. It's a tricky area of veterinary medicine as so little is known about gibbons, so we bring in a primate specialist vet from New York University now and then and they work as a team (Dr. Ohlandt even donates a day! This New York vet has observed Dr. Ohlandt doing surgery and says he is the absolutely best vet he has seen at any of the primate sanctuaries he serves. On one occasion we had an infant gibbon savagely attacked by her mother (who lacked milk) and we rushed her to Dr. Ohlandt and he did a rapid creative surgery that saved her mangled leg. The baby gibbon is now six years old and asleep on the couch as I write. We feel so privileged to have had Dr. Ohlandt as our vet for 31 years. I give him ten stars!!!! Shirley McGreal RID: 7320
Click to report rating    8/14/07   5     5     5     5   I have 3 cats and 2 dogs and I highly reccommend Ohlandt. I heard about them through many friends who also go there. (This is the 3rd vet's office I have gone to in Charleston, and by far the best) The vets/staff are all very friendly, knowledgable, & helpful. Even though they are often very busy, they still try to squeeze you in. They really are great! RID: 5582
Click to report rating    5/9/07   5     5     5     5   They have always been very helpful and honest. They can fit you in within the week, unlike some places that are so busy and unwilling to work with you. Monetarily- they are unmatched in comparison to other places I have been. I highy recommend them! RID: 3835
Click to report rating    4/18/07   5     5     5     5   The best vet clinic in Charleston, hands down. I have 6 dogs & I run a rescue, so I am in there a lot. They have brought dogs back from near-death and done amazing things with my animals. I highly recommend Dr. Roumillat and Dr. Bilger (whose name recently changed, but I can't remember what her new name is). Dr. Ohlandt is also amazing. I've seen that clinic go way above and beyond what your average clinic would do. They really take care of their senior citizen clients too. Just amazing. A++++ RID: 3487
