Being both an internist and oncologist, Dr. Hammer has a unique perspective and has found things other vets have not and successfully treated my animals. He has a high level of compassion and a great demeanor with both the animals and caregivers. When things are complicated involving matters other than regular check ups and dental work, I now choose Dr. Hammer. I have to drive 45 minutes, but it is well worth it. Pricing is reasonable as well.

I have had three dogs with cancer who were treated by Dr. Hammer. He found the 'correct' cocktail of meds and gave my dogs both quality and quantity of life until we let them go to the bridge. He is caring, patient, and understanding and he worked hard to find balance. We now have a cat with kidney problems under his care and are very happy with her results.

Was told by my primary vet that my dogs cancer was hopeless and it had about 2 months to live. Dr. Hammers treatment has resulted in no sign of cancer in my dog and a happy and healthy pooch. It's been about 8 months. Hammer is a rock star! I would never use another oncologist. His character and style along with his thoughtful personal treatment is what being a healer and helper is all about.

Dr. Hammer failed to diagnose correctly leaving my poor dog suffer longer than it should have.

Dr. Hammer properly diagnosed a growth in my dog's ear and succesfully treated him. 5 other vets recommended I remove the dogs entire eardrum leaving him deaf. Dr. Hammer removed the growth and the dog is fine and hears perfectly. This is without question the best vet in OHIO.

Dr. Hammer treated my doxie/cocker mix for insulinoma. He was incredibly compassionate and made my dog feel very at ease. He did a very thorough job in examining her and did followup calls to see how she was doing. He really knows his stuff!

I LOVE Dr. Hammer. He's such an "animal person" and is a great doctor. He treated my cat and kept him alive for 3 years after he was diagnosed. And, my cat lived a good, happy life those 3 years. I highly recommend Dr. Hammer.
