I have used Oradell animal hospital for the past 21 years for my K9 pets and birds. I had the pleasure of meeting several different doctors depending on what was required for the pet I was bringing in. Each and every doctor and vet tech that I have met have been professional have taken time in evaluating my pet and have provided detailed information and options to me. They try their best to be punctual but sometimes appointments may run over depending on the severity of the appointment prior to you. They can be pricey but then again you get what you pay for.I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. This includes their Fort Lee and Hasbrouck Heights locations also.

PLease..Never..Never...Never take your pet here.. I cannot stress this enough! they are all about the money .. the staff is rude and as soon as you tell them you do not want your pet to stay they cop an attitude, they never explained the full illness my dog had .. they DO NOT CARE about your pet..I took him home where he is more comfortable and took him to another place who explained everything .. he is doing better..and I feel he would not be had I let them keep him

My dog was terminal, but before I took her home they gave her an injection that made her bleed. I said to stop everything, they tell me to consider euthanasia, then turn around and stick my dog with a needle? The bleeding made her feel worse than she already was. In competence, lack of skill, also kind of stupid to give a dog an injection after telling me to consider euthanasia. I won't go here again for any emergencies.

I really loved the place. Everyone was excellent from the girl win the reception area to the doctors who saw my cat and a prior visit i bought my hampster. The docotr was very patient and understanding. The cat I bought in was an abused cat who i witness being thrown out of the front door down the stairs by his owner. The doctor spent over an hour with me answering all of my questions (and i had many because i never owned a cat before and she was also abused). The doctor did not charge me for her care but the er visit was 169.00 just for coming in the er. I was also charged 140.00 for a blood test for heart worms, aids, and leukemia and 40.00 for the medicine. They are outrageously expensive but the care was worth it. A prior visit i bought my hampster in for swalllowing mouse poison (actually we dont know if he did but he was near it). That visit was almsot 500.00 including weekly injections. If it is not an emergency or if you can go someplace else that is cheaper then go but i lov

Don't go to the neurologist there. He will take you for every penny he can, administer unnecessary tests, not return your phone calls and still be clueless about what's wrong. Go to Red Bank if you want to see a real neurologist. Oradell's should be selling used cars.

State of the Art medical facility. They don't have knowledgable people using the EKG, ultrasound, xrays, etc or reading them.My vet was away-the relief vet highly recommended to go here(ends up she had interned here). What a disaster. I came in for one problem, they focused on a life long problem (non normal Cushings or something),they wanted to do all sorts of tests,I explained that it's been worked up already-my dog needed his broken bone fixed. They kept wasting time on pushing me to do a Cushing workup. I repeatedly declined,I was practically crying b/c my dog was in immense pain and not receiving care for what I came in for. Since my vet was closed, I couldn't get any lab work.I offered to sign a liability waiver, they refused. I felt that either they are total morons or they wanted my bill to be 3X. I knew there was other ERs, so I took my dog elsewhere and he received proper care.Upon her return, my vet apologized and said:relief vet:adios, she never refers to OAH. Wish I knew that.

I have brought my dogs to this hospital for 30 plus years. I have always found the staff to be kind and caring. For a brief time I took one of my current dogs to another facility. He had a cyst on his paw and the vet wanted to operate immediatly. It didn't feel right so I took him to Oradell. They did a needles biopsy for minimal cost and pronounced it a fluid cyst and told me to leave it alone. When my last dog was 12 and could barely walk and was in a great deal of pain, I brought him in and they gave me a private room where I could hold my dog while they gave him the injection to put him to sleep and allowed me the time I needed to say goodbye. When my cat was dying at 18 years old they did a surgery they were very honest with me about and gave her several more very happy months. I do say that they are very expensive and should lower their prices, but as doctors they are excellent.
