Unfortunately they were charging us over double for prescriptions and refuse to authorize prescriptions for other pharmacies over the phone. So have to mail prescriptions into chewy.
They did not tell us this until after we left, and did not try to make it right or apologize for the inconvenience.
Very expensive for basic services.

I boarded a cat and dog during a trip to California. The cat had no problems. The dog developed some anxiety related health problems during boarding that required extra attention and care on the part of the Brykerwood Veterinary Clinic staff.
The staff at Brykerwood Veterinary Clinic went above and beyond the call of duty in taking care of my pets! My dog received the best possible care, and the staff were very attentive to his needs and helping him get through his anxiety, and the health issues that resulted from it.
I would like to especially thank Dr. Stephanie Baker, Liz Hernandez, Craig Welsh, and Tamara Jones for the excellent care that you gave my animals. The staff at Brykerwood Veterinary Clinic are definitely in the business of caring for animals for the right reason—they love animals! I am glad that I found Brykerwood Veterinary Clinic.

I am really happy with this vet. They're competent and kind. They took great care of my lab for years, whether it was emergency care or just treating him as he aged. When the time came to put him to sleep, they gave me honest advice and were very compassionate. And over the years all but one of the vets were very cost-conscious, which was great--some other vets are such salesmen. Receptionist is very nice, too. I boarded once and the lady was friendly and especially attentive to my geriatric dog. Also I've never had to wait long there, but I generally avoided peak hours. (Plus emergencies do come up, so no one should judge a vet if they have to wait one time--it's the habit of making people wait that should concern you.) I'd definitely recommend Brykerwood, and can't wait until my new puppy starts her routine care with them.

I have taken my dogs to Brykerwood Vet for the past 15 years. Drs. Biehle and Mireles are so compassionate and truly love animals. I have compared their prices to those of surrounding vets and they seem comparable. I feel that my dogs are well taken care of. We board there also and feel very comfortable leaving our pets in their care.

It's become a "show me the money" operation. Vets are poor at diagnostics and do not return phone calls. They are excellent at collecting your money though!

I used to go to this clinic until I waited 30+ minutes for an appointment that I was hurried through, and given medication WITHOUT knowing how to administer it... or even what it was for. The turnover in their staff is phenominal, every face is different every time I go. And no one has a clue what is going on. Patient files get lost often - I had to have the same exam done twice because of that. They may have won "Best Vet Clinic in Austin" but I don't see how. I couldn't wait to find a new vet. They are way overrated, but the price is good if you want to suffer on service.
