I HAVE BEEN USING DR. ASHMORE FOR ALMOST 4 YEARS NOW. WHEN I BROUGHT MY DOG IN FOR LYMES DISEASE HE TOOK THE DOG INTO THE BACK ROOM FOR X-RAYS WITHOUT MY PRIOR CONSENT. IT TURNED OUT THAT HE DID HAVE LYMES AND DID NOT NEED THE X-RAYS AFTER ALL. HE TOOK THE BLOOD TEST FOR LYMES WHICH CAME BACK POSITIVE BUT NEVER CHECKED THE LEVELS AS I WAS TOLD MY NEW VET. NEEDLESS TO SAY, AFTER ALMOST $600 LATER AND 9 MONTHS LATER, MY DOG IS STILL SICK AND WHEN I CALLED THE OFFICE TO GET A PRESCRIPTION FILLED, I WAS TOLD BY THE OFFICE STAFF THAT THEY WOULD CALL ME RIGHT BACK. IF I WAITED FOR THEM, I WOULD STILL BE WAITING. I NOW HAVE FOUND A NEW VET THAT ACTUALLY KNOWS WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT.(OFFICE STAFF WAS ALSO VERY RUDE)

Wow. Just heard about this site from a friend. what a great hospital. I was referred to Dr Ashmore from a friend when my molly was attacked by another dog and the first two vets i called could not see Molly but All Creatures said to come right in immediately and they saved her life. She had several bite wounds and even a collapsed lung. Molly and I will always be grateful to everyone at All Creatures Great and Small Animal Hospital. Thanks so much. Barb

6/3/10 I HAVE TWO DOGS AND HAVE BEEN GOING TO DR. ASHMORE AND DR. MITRIVIC. OVER THE MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND MY 3 1/2 YEAR OLD RAT TERRIER BECAME ILL. THANKS TO DR. ASHMORE FOR HIS QUICK DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT AND DR. MITRIVIC FOR TAKING SUCH GOOD CARE OF RASCAL THE WHOLE WEEKEND AND THE WONDERFUL STAFF, MY RASCAL AFTER A THREE DAY STAY IS NOW HOME WITH ME AS GOOD AS NEW. THANKS ALL. MARYANN CHIESI

Words cant even describe how I feel about Dr Ashmore and his staff. If it wasnt for them My beautiful 8 yr old german shepherd Bella would not be here today. I met Dr Ashmore at his hospital at midnight becuase she was vomiting and she was diagnosed with a twisted stomach in which he performed immediate emergency surgery and because of that we still have her in our life. Thanks so much and keep up the GREAT and loyal work.

I brought my dog in for a minor problem with vomiting. Dr. Ashmore did not listen to her symptoms. He took the dog into a back room, when he came back he indicated he had given her several injections, not asking me first. He had given her injections that had nothing to do with her problem, including an antibiotic for an infection she did not have. The dog had a severe allergic reaction to the drugs (3 shots and 4 different pills I was instructed to give her). Calling Dr. Ashmore about this he claimed he had never heard of a dog having an allergic reation to meds. I took the dog to another vet who immediately recognized the allergic symptons and indicated such reaction was not uncommon in animals. It has been two weeks and my dog is still being treated by the other vet, who indicates she was clearly over medicated. I worry that she may not be ok. I would warn against anyone taking their pet to Dr. Ashmore as his practice is not to diagnose the problem, but simply deliver mediations.

Horrible experience!!!! I had taken my dog there when I noticed a puncture wound on her belly and my regular vet was not available.They stitched it up for $600.00,a week later had the stitch's taken out and by time we got home the wound opened up again.Went back they stitched again.I finally went my vet a few weeks later to have the stitch's taken out again.None of the vets at All creatures realized that the wound was the beginning of a tumor which a year later grew to the size of cantaloupe.My vet said it had to be removed.As angry as I was I still wanted to discuss the problem with a vet in charge multiple times I was ignored and none of my calls were ever returned.The tumor was cancer and I had my vet remove it with no guarantee that it would not return.He also noted that the dog would have have a better chance if it was caught in the beginning stages in the first place.People beware!!! seems like this place is in it for the money and could care less about your pet.Find a good vet

Beware! This doctor has no idea what he is doing! I was charged for exams but all he ever did was pet my dog and ask stupid questions about his daily habits. Some vets spend time examing, poking, and prodding but I never saw this vet do any of that. More importantly I had taken my dog to him a few times and he never found anything wrong everything was always great.I finally switched vets and during the first visit the vet heard a 2 of 3 heart murmur. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I think Dr. Ashmore is everything that is right with being a Doctor. He genuinely cares about my pets. And, although he is a conventional Vet, he does support my holistic and natural approach to pet care. Most vets just want to pump your pet with vaccines and crap food. Dr. Ashmore is thumbs up in my book. I also like Dr. Michavich (sp??). He was involved in my pit bull's knee surgery. It's been over a year and she's doing great. he is hard to communicate with. But, I appreciate his effort Jeff

I found Dr Ashmore to be unprofessional & goofy. He is too laid back & not aggressive when it comes to exams. My dog had lumps & bumps which he told me were nothing or love handles? He screwed up my dogs surgery & some of my dogs lumps came back as cancerous when I went to another hospital. I would NOT recommend him at all....
