I HIGHLY recommend this vet clinic. Dr. Jen Buller, Michelle, Mary, Sam, Kaitlin, Scarlett and Dr. Jerome showed such compassion, guidance, professionalism, and care for my 12 year old kitty, Lucy... She was such a loving little buddy , but not so well behaved at any vet clinic ... However, the staff managed her very well, and I am thankful. Also thankful for their patience and compassionate, for Lucy and myself, during a difficult time of her passing. Leslie Ross, Ladysmith, BC

I had a bad experience with this vet hospital 2 years ago when I had to put my sick, elderly dog down- Decided to try it again as it is closest vet to me. It is a now owned by a corporate chain and I had another very negative experience. Staff was polite but very impersonal and complacent about the issue and they were all about policies, rules and regulations- the service was about them not about my dogs needs or customer service at all. Frustrated and disappointed, I went to another vet hospital and it was like night and day- so much better! Wont be going back there.

I have 2 dogs and 2 cats.... they all receive top quality care from this facility, no matter which vet provides the services. Reception is A+...always pleasant, polite and friendly. Very knowledgeable and compassionate. ??????????

Have been clients for 17 years and they have never let us down. A great team. Have been with us through thick and thin. We wouldn't go anywhere else. ...and we don't even live in Ladysmith.

Marked up $500 meds by an additional $100. Because we previously bought the meds we knew what the price should be. Front desk staff argued with us over the price and the Owners never called to explain their practice after we requested that they phone us, twice. Front desk staff tried to make us negotiate to receive the meds and would not issue us a copy of the prescrip so that we could and fill it ourselves. Bad practice gouging patients for already expensive medications. Will not return.

Awful, don't go there, it is all about the money!!They put my dong on thyroid pills for 5 yrs and he did not have a thyroid problem at all!!!Don't know what they are doing!Love your pet, walk on by

Had the misfortune of having my pet treated by an incredibly rude, unfeeling vet. The most experience I've ever received from any business. If you love your pet, please don't use Ladysmith Animal Hospital!

Wonderful compassionate care with my dogs. Staff is professional and no delay was taken to get my dog into emergency surgery, when she was almost lost.

We have been taking our dog Rascal to the Ladysmith Animal Hospital for the last 18 months, and they have always been very friendly, helpful, and have provided excellent care. For the past 6 months they have been treating a tumour, so we are normally there every week or two and we're extremely happy with the care that they provide.

I brought my cat, Ebony to this clinic. She was 18 years old & her health was failing. We are new to Ladysmith. I called & explained her situation. They got me in right away. The vet explained my options very clearly & compassionately. Ebony was already on a special diet & there wasn't much more we could do for her. I could have prolonged her life but it wasn't fair to her. I couldn't bear to see her in pain anymore. So I made the painful decision to put her to sleep. The vet tech kissed Ebony on the head & petted her &told her she was beautiful & she wouldn't be in pain anymore. That she could eat all the fish she wanted in kitty heaven. Ebony was purring & we were all petting her. I was amazed at their level of caring &compassion. And very grateful that I had decided to bring my beautiful sweet girl there. They made an unbearable situation bearable. Thank you for that. I will definitely recommend Ladysmith Vet Hospital to everyone I know.

I find the staff helpfull and polite. They have gone through some staff changes, however the newest members have been great to deal with. I find the Doctor knowledgable and fair with their recommendations. I have had to wait a few times for my schedualed appt time but have always applogized to, for them running behind. My dog loves the treats and the butt scratches she gets when we go there :)

Have been taking our GSD there for years and have had nothing less than excellent treatments, she has required a few surgeries as well and have been very impressed by the vets explanations and compassion shown to both the animal and owners. I would not hesitate to recommend this vet to anyone. We travel from Nanaimo to go there.

I find the staff quite rude, I have stopped going to this vet but I called just to ask a simple question about ear mites and the lady on the phone was rude, disrespectful and hung up on me before I got any answer. I will never recommend this vet to anyone.

The service is always very friendly from the receptionist and techs. However, I left feeling disrespected and belittled. I can't remember a positive experience at this clinic. If they didn't have my pet's entire medical history I would switch my vet. I will not take any new pets here.

I had heard mixed reviews, but my beautiful old boy, Cody had collapsed. At first they couldn't fit me in, but the receptionist must have heard my fear and said to come in right away. Staff we friendly and caring. Dr Jerome was honest, caring, and compassionate.... he answered our questions and when we had made the decision to let my baby go.... he and his staff and their calming energy made the whole experience tolerable. That was one of the hardest things I ever did in my life, Dr Jerome came out with Cody and tapped on the car door he wanted to assure me I had done the right thing. Yesterday I got a personal card, expressing their support and though I cried.... it was a very beautiful gesture. Thank you Dr Jerome and his great staff. Maybe we can't all be perfect, or great but I believe they all care. No one can work with animals and not be special. Thank you a million times... deb

the staff was not friendly or helpful. i felt like i was wasting their time with questions. they clearly wanted to get me in and out. if this is this how first time costomers are treated, why would anyone come back?

Emergency after-hours care was not available as advertised. Vet on-call was out of town and not willing to come back to Ladysmith when called. Was rude and dismissive.

Great staff, always helpful and if they can not help right then they always get back to me with in a few hours. Doctors really care about our pets and their well being. You get what you pay for here. Great service and patient care.

Fantastic clinic, wonderful, caring people. Always available to answer questions, gets animals in quickly when an owner has concerns, vet takes time to explain things.
