I have taken both my dogs to summerfield animal hospital for almost a yr. every regular visit is no less than $200. My last visit cost $300, when I asked the vet tech if the doctor would take a look at something that concerned me on my dog (which I took the opportunity b/c I was there for a heartworm test and Ive always been told the test included an exam) I heard her tell the tech "make sure she knows it will cost her an exam". I told her no exams have always been Included and she said, " no, only for new patients". Then when I got home I notice ed on my bill they charged me $170 for a 6 month supply of HW prevention. I called and simply asked what they charge for a 6 month supply and I was told $114. I let them know who I was and asked why the difference. They said b/c it was bought for 2 dogs instead of 1 and it was 2 different accounts. Never again!

tookmyillDog in her clinic at regular hour( she charge me $87 saying it was an emergency office visit, if I knew thatI would justwentto an emergency clinic instead) she made me pay $677 before even any treatment was done, PJ was on sedative the whole day,the pain came back again as soon as the sedative worn off( Dr. Karen didn't send no pain medication with me when I pick him up)she said he will be fine until Monday and that She saw improvement in his condition PJwas diagnose with congestive heart failure aboutweeks agohe was an medication since thenhe developed a blood clot in his aorta and he lost the function of his two rear legs..I took him the first time for this matter this is how vet diagnosed he had congestive heart failure) but he regained his legs backI though after diagnosing that he have a heart disease she should know that sooner or later he will develop a blood clotNo medication was giving to prevent that to be happening .
