My dog Minnie was euthanized at this clinic back in 2012. It was a sudden and incredibly sad event for my family. I never received an invoice. I though naively that an invoice was never sent as they felt badly too - we all cried out eyes out. I always pay my bills but I never received it! Fast forward to May 2020 and my 6 year old toy poodle Ruby was bitten. My new vet had examined her and didn't see a puncture wound. Next day she formed what looked like an absess. My new vet was booked solid and wanted me to keep an eye on it for a few days. I was feeling a little panicky about it and tried to get her into Lawrence Vet Clinic for a quick look. They booked an appointment for the next day but then called back and said there was an outstanding bill for $88 for a euthanasia back in 2012 that would have to be paid before they would see her. What a disgusting, money hungry business!

I can't say enough good things about every single person at this clinic. The receptionists are so attentive, efficient and accommodating. Each of the technicians are knowledgeable and caring. If I had to choose the best one I couldn't, they are all that good. Dr. Jackie Greenwood is the perfect vet. She is knowledgeable, never does any test or procedure that isn't necessary and is a fabulous diagnostician. I have been using her services for my dogs for over 20 years. This year I started using the services of Dr. Macgregor Spinks. I never thought anyone would be able to instill the confidence that Dr. Greenwood did, but Dr. Spinks is wonderful!. My journey with him and my new pup is just beginning, but so far he has been fabulous. I feel very fortunate to be part of this Vet Clinic. They have seen me and my dogs through some of the worse and best times. Recommend them highly! A+++++++

I found Dr. greenwood and her staff to be friendly and very knowledgable. She handled my newly acquired rescue dog with care; I was given information to assist is the dog's socialization and healthcare in a patient manner. I did not feel rushed and I was given to fully understand how the dog's healthcare treatment would proceed over the next few months. I liked that this is an independent vet clinic and not a cash grab conglomerate looking to charge me for anything. Case in point: my dog needed to have her claws clipped - the assistant clipped the offending ones while the examination was taking place. I was not charged for this service as an add on to the regular examination. Planing a pet is always costly but this clinic is on the fair side monetarily and they were kind and welcoming. I will come back!

I just got yelled at in this clinic. My pet is not their patient, I only buy the pet food there. Apparently, the new policy is that they won't sell you the pet food unless you give them your full name and address to have it entered in the computer system. The reason - they need it to keep track of the inventory (?!). At least they could have come up with something that makes sense. When I questioned the legality of such sale policy, Stephanie yelled at me that there is no need to be sassy and that I don't have to buy the food there. She then threw the bag of food on the counter, hitting the resident cat who was sitting there. What a great customer service if you dare to ask a question.
I don't know much about the clinic (hence all medium marks except for the staff category), except that the turnover of staff is very high, I was never served by the same technician/receptionist twice in all this time. Makes you wonder why.

Have been going there for about 10 years. The staff is knowledgeable and caring and they always answer my questions with the outmost care, suggesting vaccines and treatments but withiut ever pushing them on me. Dr. Mac is an amazing doctor there, his love for animals is so apperent. However, the clinic is kn the expensive side.

The staff a Lawrence Vet Clinic are there because they love our pets. They have been like a 2nd family for my two dogs over the past 16 years and I cannot imagine going anywhere else.

Found 2 cats walking home from work. Brought them home. I figured i could take them to toronto humane society. Wrong. They wudnt accept anymore cats. So i kept the kitties til i could find them a home. Decided to go to this clinic bcuz it was close by. The vet told me i need to get them spayed and would cost $1,000. Told them when i have the money i will get it done. These ****s called the OSPCA on me and i was forced to have them spayed. And of course i went to a different clinic to have it done. They are money hungry and dont care about animals.

We are very happy with the service and communication at this clinic. The Staff have been very clear with communicating both procedures and costs in person and over the phone. From what we have experienced their main concern is the well being of the animal, as opposed to performing unnecessary procedures for profit. We were not charged when our cat was kept overnight to monitor his eating, or for his follow-up appointment. The Staff are nice and seem to love animals. It is a relief to have a vet we can trust for our wonderful cat!

This is my first puppy (ever) and I wanted to make sure that she receives the best care and hoped that this vet clinic placed the needs of the animal above anything else (i.e money). Well so far I am happy with them as the staff are friendly and knowledgable. Yes they are a bit pricey but I guess you're just paying for the area. My only complaint is that I wished they took the time to reassure my puppy whenever she's being examined. My puppy gets very nervous/scared and almost always pees (which the attendant gets very angry at but thankfully not Dr. Greenwood). I understand that they're not there as therapists but a little reassurance might help my puppy get over fear (or at least somewhat) and learn to trust the vet.

I went to this clinic for 8 years and stopped when I moved (75 km drive, although I have thought of continuing with them) They were great when my first cat got diabetes and we were getting the insulin dose settled down. When I finally had to put him down, all the staff were great and while it was painfull they did all they could to assist in this. I would recommend them in an instant.

Dr. Greenwood is hands down the best vet I've dealt with for my senior dog. She is kind, caring and does not push unnecessary proceedures on seniors. Staff is great. Very informative and patient with my old boy. Cannot say enough great things about Dr. Greenwood and the clinic.

I switched to this clinic from a much more expensive one. These guys will give you a cost breakdown of everything they recommend with a high and low estimate and include certain things that are optional. Dr. Paterson is AWESOME

I spent over 1,000.00 to get a diagnosis on my cat and they weren't able to diagnosis him. I ended up taking him for a second opinion because Lawrence Vet said he had behavioural problems. It turns out he an infection that was quite treatable.

The folks at this clinic are wonderful! Receptionists are caring and fun, the two lady vets are great with the animals! I've been taking my animals to them for 5 years and got their name as a referral from two other dog owners. Dr. Greenwood practices regular vet medicine as well as animal accupuncture and TCM (tradiational chinese medicine) so if you're looking for an alternative, she can provide it. They were wonderful to me and my family whenever we have had to euthanize one of our cats. They are the best in the city!
