$650 for a dead dog.
For comparison’s sake, when I was in Houston and my friend had to take his dogs into the vet for routine shots another family came out crying. Their dog had been in the Foster Creek Veterinary center in Richmond for two days and as they were releasing him he gave out and died in the back room (he was much older). In the reception area the owner said, “Of course, there will be no charge.”
Not, “And that will be $400 more.”
I’ll never let another animal of mine near this clinic, or anyone’s that I personally know. They wouldn’t even allow us to be billed and release him so we could take care of the body in the meantime. All money was due there and then before he was to be released.
This place feels heartless, and I am glad I will never have to set foot there again.
