My large breed dog developed a twisted stomach late one evening which is a serious condition that requires emergency surgery to fix. This veterinary serice reommended a veterinary emergency service located on John R in Madison Heights. We took our sick dog to this clinic as fast we could. The visiting vet who was there performed expensive surgery on our dog. We thought he had a good chance to survive since the dog walked into the surgery area. However, after an extensive time period the vet doctor informed us that our beloved dog had died after the surgery. I believe that with proper care our dog could have and should have survived to live on. Perhaps too much surgery was done when just untwisting the stomach could have been enough for the dog to survive. So this veterimary service recommended an emergency service that did not work for us.

After using this vet, this is the only vet that I will use. We had a beagle that would have a seisure every time he walked into the front door of the office due to anxiety. To make it easier on him the vet would actually come out to the parking lot to examine him that way it didn't stress him out into a seisure. Even when he needed surgery they put him under in the back of our SUV and then took him in. Before he woke up afterwards, they brought him back out to the vehicle so that he wouldn't wake up and go into a seisure. They are very nice, very understanding and you can tell that everyone that works there is there because they love animals. NOT just to make money.
