I took my very gentle 13yr old dog in for a nail trim, he isn’t a fan of having his nailed trimmed but he has never bit or reacted in a aggressive way. He was muzzled & I went into the waiting room,after a few seconds I heard my dog making noises I’ve never heard from him or any other dog I’ve ever had, I was horrified, the receptionist was very kind she could see I was upset she tried to calm me with conversation. Then we hear roaring laughter coming from the same room I asked her what they could possibly find funny as my dog is still making loud horrific sounds.
When the door opens my dog is pulling to escape I got him to the car and returned to pay when the male tech smugly say” I’m sorry I traumatized your doggy”.
My dog IS TRAUMATIZED he is older and this isn’t good they should of stopped and recommend an alternative of sedation instead of being cruel and forcing the procedure and laughing as my dog was responding in such a visceral way.
