Expensive, as all are emergency hospitals, but they are much cheaper than NYCVS and there's no sense that they are out to run up the bill. All of the animals are seen and reviewed by specialists, even if a regular vet is who you speak to in the beginning.

I had a very similar experience to the other negative review. The vet really pushed me to have tests which even if they found something - there was nothing that could be done. And my cat is older - and to do them - she would have had to put my cat under anesthesia which carries its own risks. The vet was still wet behind the ears and misdiagnosed the xray (got a call 2 days later form the radiologist). Also, I nicknamed my cat gumby because he is so placid at the vets' office. No hissing, no biting - just sits on the table without much fuss. The vet at this hospital took my cat downstairs and when she brought him back up, he was in a cage and hissing endlessly. I have never seen him like that. Is was crazy - this cat has never bit or hissed at me or his regular vet (this was an emergency visit on a weekend). I would NOT recommend this veterinary practice. Perhaps its better during the week - but the weekend beginner vet was awful.

Do not go here on a holiday weekend unless you want inexperienced doctors who order all sorts of CYA tests that run up your bill. On the holiday weekends they have front desk staff that are rude and will tell you to wait 7 hours for a call back from a doctor -and then tells you they can answer any questions you have for the dcotor--and then gives you incorrect information. On weekdays--the place is completely capable. I hope they read this review.

A kind and caring emergency service. Every staff member, from vets to cashiers, is sympathetic and skilled. No more AMC mess! Visits to hospitalized pets are in private rooms, the facilities are ultra clean and new, most specialties are available and all testing equipment is new. The overnight staff is skilled and caring. There's even a discount from their very fair prices for owners over 65!
