Horrible service and they treat their animals like crap, especially when they are kept overnight. My dog was treated there and kept overnight. When I went to pick him up, he had dry skin and his nose was covered in scars and rashes. They overcharge for their services and do not even give the animal the proper treatment. They will charge you for work they have never done. Its a shame this clinic or any of its affiliates are still open. I will never do business with this clinic. I advise everyone to take your pet to a safer vet, not this one. They will smile in your face bit when it comes down to business they will short you and overcharge.

I'm not sure why vets in NJ find it okay to keep customers waiting for an hour past their scheduled appointment time. This is the second vet in Highland Park to do this to me. My cats are subjected to the stress of dogs in the waiting room - dogs of owners how won't control them. As the owner, I'm subjected to a ridiculous wait. My time is worth money too. I should charge them my hourly rate for waiting. I cannot recommend this vet at all and am highly suspect of any vet in the area now if this is how they treat customers.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! They are just arrogant. My cat had a urinary tract infection. We knew what was obviously wrong with him, so we simply wanted antibiotic (~$20). They wanted to charge us for a whole office visit and everything. I tried to explain to them that I couldn't afford $200 bill as I was a student. Dr. Gary Quinn was absolutely rude on the phone, even calling me a lair for telling him that the office visit in New York was only $20 as he assumed that I was talking about NYC when I was talking about upstate NY. Just for that phone conversation, they refused me to bring my cat in and later sent me a letter, asking to seek other vets. They practically fired us! We never even tried to go back to them. As they suggested, we found another vet hospital where every staff and vet are friendly and loving animals.

my dog hurt his knee and was crying they weren't able to see him that day. The next day the vet said that he didn't hurt his knee, even though he was growling at her each time she touched him that meant nothing to her. another vet came in to look at him and said he had hurt his knee. gave me pain medication try that and if it doesn't help bring him back. said there were not side effects. well did some research on it and that medications is used for large breeds. Not small and could of killed him. Blood work should be done before and during to check orgin functions. The floor was very dirty and the staff only seemed to care about you paying and that was about it. have you ever noticed they have a hight turn over of vets. Most of the vets there are only interns. No wonder they didn't know mich about the medication and didn't think he had hurt his knee. Never go there again.

I went here for a second opinion. They diagnosed my dog to have Hip Dysplasia using xray with incorrectly positioned hips. When not positioned properly an xray can make it look like your dog has hip dysplasia when he does not. After scaring me with that diagnosis, they used the opportunity to charge me for a number of different tests that my dog really did not need. Also prescribed a medication for my dog and that medication has a side effect of 'death'

just because the facilities are nice, doen't mean the veterinarians know what they are doing, they take the love you have for your pet, and turn it into a capital gain. with unnecessary treatment and no solution to your pets problem. I paid 350.00 dollar, for what they said was a upper respirtory problem, a 2nd opinion i found out she had FIP (wet) with just a look (yellowish skin), x-rays, and Liver test and $46.00 for the office visit. I regret to have had to euthanasia her as she was in a fatal stage. If i ever get another pet i would never take them to Raritan Animal Hospital again.

I had a sick cat (who has passed away), and when I moved to the area I swiched to this vet. They are very accomodating in terms of getting you an appointment and have after hours/weekend appointments, but there seems to be a large amount of young female vets and you rarley see the same vet. I felt that they didn't take the time or care to properly diagnose or explain possible diagnosis of my cat's health issues. For the thousands of dollars spent on care it is outrageous that they were so flippant. The waiting room is tiny and packed and almost always you are not taken in on time. During my last few visits the office was being remodeled and could not handle the people they had squeezed in.

I had a one year old chocolate lab that was misdiagnosed to having hip dysplasia when in reality she had a blown ccl that required surgery...I was given pain medication and vitamins...my dog suffered for months thinking that she had hip dysplasia and all along it was her knee. I'm very disappointed with this vet...because of them, I took my dog for a second and third opinion regarding her knees and when she finally had surgery, she died of a blood clot to the brain. I feel really cheated that they !@#%ed up her diagnosis and I no longer have her with me.

They're not inexpensive, but they have a large staff and evening hours so if you have an emergency you can ALWAYS get an appointment. They also have the latest equipment, which means you don't have to make a trip to a specialist if you need a procedure like an ultrasound. Very kind and caring staff. I've been using them for 5 years now, and am VERY happy.
