Today we decided it was time for our very sick dog to be put down. Our dog has been sick for yrs & was recently diagnosed w/diabetes. His quality of life was miserable&it was time. We made our appt.to take him in,only to wait for 20 mins. Given the situation it was awful just to sit there.Once in the exam rm, Dr.Baxter tried to tell us that there were still things we could do for him, even tho what she was suggesting was something that other vets told us were NOT an option anymore. She argued with us about our decision. She didn't know the dog or us & how much we have done for our dog. There was absolutely NO COMPASSION in our time of need. After crying & telling her that we've had enough&this is our decision,she finally agreed &stormed out of the room. We were left waiting for her to return to take him from us&had to get Sue to help us. What we knew was going to be an emotional appt. turned out to be a horrible experience. We will never return to this office.
