to everyone who lives in the area you are very fortunate to have access to Dr. Ohm we are now on the Island and have tried several places but no one matches his compassion or fairness. We are now planning to travel the ferry just to be able to seek his opinion so we don't spend thousands of dollars unnecessarily. He is one of two vets I have met in my life whom I trust.

We have been going to this vet for over two years now. We have tried at least three others until a friend recommended this place. Although the old place looked a bit run down, we were very impressed with the service and knowledge. We were never charged for anything that didn't have to be done, prices are way better than other vets we tried, and in many cases we re not even charged for a quick check up. I would recommend this place to everyone!

The only reason I went to this vet is because they spay and neuter for a few rescue agencies at a reduced rate (which is indeed very kind of them) and I had rescued 3 stray cats that needed to be "fixed" and was told to go there. THIS PLACE SMELLS AND IS BEYOND FILTY - and I'm not certain that they gave pain meds to those poor kitty's (I picked them up the next day)! You get what you pay for, and THE REDUCED PRICES ARE NOT WORTH IT. If you love animals, take them somewhere else.

I chose this vet because it was near my house and i thought if there was an emergency it would be easy to get to.The vet was a very nice person. But when my dogs fatty lump had grown back after it was removed, he refused to have it tested for cancer, even when i asked him to. The vet office smells VERY BAD. I would not recommend this vet.

Well i'm glad there were some 'positives', but the 'negative' one is extremely bad. I worked in a vets for a short time, and I even know the procedure on how to deal with a loss. Its not a great thing to go through, but obviously this person was dealt with absolutely no compassion. I've never heard of anyone handing out a box to put the deceased animal in..i was appauled to read that. They should of asked what you wanted done with the remains and give you the choice to cremate and then they deal with it. Or if you choose to take your pet's remains, then thats the other option. I'm not in that area, but just to let the public know, this is the 3rd hospital associated directly with Surrey Animal Hospital, as well as Surrey Animal Hospital in Surrey, there is Apollo Animal Hospital (same owner). So, if you have a negative experience, be careful. Maybe the vet is good at this one, maybe the staff is fine, but I would be cautious in the end. Provide feedback either way, good or bad.

I have no idea where these other posters went but it couldn't have been here. The office was filthy, stunk and had blood splatter in the exam room. The only reason we went there was that our geriatric cat was in renal failure and in pain. We just needed to help him to pass quickly. The vet entered the room with another guy who was never introduced. They preceeded to euthanize the cat. When I started to cry they both bolted out of the room without a word. After a few minutes and time to compose myself I waited for someone to come back for me, say something , aknowledge me somehow - Nothing. Finally I asked the receptionist what I should do with my now dead cat. She handed me a box. Off I went with my dead cat. Hmmm... I guess they figured I wouldn't be a repeat customer, at least with that cat.

After making hour's worth of phone call's trying to find a vet i thought i wuld want to treat my kid's, perform any kind of surgery, or just to give any tips on keeping my children happy healthy growing kids i finallly contacted the rite clinic!! When the clinic found out that i had 5 cats (diffrnt ages, all from the same momma cat tho) 2 were fixed already but i still needed to get the othr 3 fixed (including momma) the secretary suggested i give 2 of the charities they deal with a calll, as they wuld most likly give a helping hand in the cost for all 3 kids of mine. Not only did i get the feeling of genuine caring for my kids, but i culd instantly tell this clinic practiced being a clean sterile facility, they were also very efficient when it came to picking up my kids, NO DELAYS!, but no extra costs suddenly appeared when it came time to pick up the cats. also all the shots and getting tattoed (i did have the choice of the chip),was incld'd in the origanal fee qouted.i feel safe kno

This was the best experience I've had at a Vet with the best prices. They were very kind to me and my cat and took care of injuries and didn't charge an arm and a leg. I paid $6.00 for a tube of Felaxin and everywhere else I paid $12.00 the same thing. They also gave me the names and phone numbers of 4 Societies that help people who cannot afford pet operations and give support. My cat passed away so I haven't been back there for a couple of years but the experience I had is that these people aren'just after money. They really do care about the pets and the people.
