vet alpha rolled a poor puppy (not mine) to give shots--puppy was screaming in fear (which is how I noticed). I was told by staff that this showed whether a dog will be dominant or not. The behavioral information is about 20 years OUT OF DATE and INCORRECT. I don't expect the vet to know everything about behavior but I do expect no harm. That puppy was traumatized and could suffer behavioral problems due to this incident. If you intend to give out behavioral advice, you should read the most current scientific findings (or even those from the 80s, which refute alpha rolls and pack leadership and all of that non-scientific stuff popularized by the Monks of New Skete). It is not right to provide advice in a professional capacity that is dangerous and downright WRONG.

Simply put - Dr. Jennifer Fry is amazing. The nurses are very friendly except for one by the name of Barbie. Our dog is not the only one scared by this woman so watch out for her. Otherwise, Banfield is great. They have fantastic care plans that will save you so much money in the long run. The staff is very thorough and they always get back to you quickly if you have any questions or concerns. I highly recommend this Banfield Pet Hospital.
