Click to report rating    1/26/13   5     4     5     5   The vet really examined and did some tests on my 13 year-old dog. She was already on Rimadyl for arthritis, and some other supplements. The vet explained about another product that is injectable, called Adequan. This has helped my dog's quality of life and I think the vets here really care. RID: 39944

12/10/11   1     2     2     1   i agree with post below, saying that a female vet here is too quick to "put down" a pet, rather than research, diagnose, and properly treat the pet. this is sad, as pet lives are unnecessarily ended too soon. often, the pet owner does not realize this until it is too late, after doing their own research. do not recommend! Click to report rating    3/22/11   2     5     5     5   There are 6 vets at Deschutes and 5 I enjoy. One met our puppy who had incontinence, did a UTI test, found it was negative, and then told us that her issues were most likely severe, would lead to a horrible quality of life and that we should just put her down. WITHOUT DOING ANY OTHER TESTS. We left the office in a sobbing mess, and after getting a second opinion now have a healthy puppy on incontinence medication. When I asked about further testing she told us (sorry I forget her name!) that they would just be costly and only lead to more bad news. She didn't want to help us, she simply wanted us to give up on our puppy. I have since switched vets after being treated with such disrespect which is a shame since the other vets in the office are very knowledgeable and the services are well priced. RID: 23739
