It was not until my cats had complications that I discovered how little they actually knew and that they made many almost fatal mistakes. One of my pets spent the weekend for what was supposed to be a bacterial infection and was just given lots of water and no antibiotics. It cost a great deal. Another one was taken off heart medicine and had to be rushed to the hospital almost dying of a heart attack. Also, they know absolutely nothing about good nutrition. I am simplifying the situation due to practicality, but had I not done a lot of research on my own, I would not have known how bad things were. Dr. Pineau is fairly nice, but does rush you and I don't like the behind-the-scene exam. Dr. Bradley is often cold and opinionated. Although Dr. Tuckerman seems nice, I don't know her well. A good vet is hard to find and needs to be more than just a nice person. He/she needs to be open-minded, proactive i RID: 38745

I had to suggest to him that my ferret had adrenal disorder and even then he told me to continue with the original diagnosis and it turned out that my ferret indeed has adrenal disease! who's the doctor... me or him?????? Click to report rating    12/30/09   3     2     5     2   The desk staff are not particularly knowledgeable, but for the most part they have an OK attitude as long as you don't have a problem. If you do have a problem, however, do not expect them to help you out. They also don't seem very well-organized. The facilities are decent but dingy-looking. I don't like that they take the animals out of the examination room (and away from the owners) to carry out all the procedures. I have never had a problem making an appointment there, and when I show up, they call me and the animals in promptly. Their prices at first appear to be low, but they nickel-and-dime you for everything, so the costs pile up and you can end up paying much more than you first expected. Overall, I do not think I will be using them again, and plan to shop around for another vet. RID: 15931
