I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VET OR KENNEL! I can't believe this place keeps getting voted the Best Vet in Harford County. From personal experience, this place is the worst vet clinic & kennel in MD. I used their dog kennel 1 time. The dogs aren't allow 2 socialize. If you want your dog to get of the concert, cold "shelter type" holding cell ea. day, you pay an extra $10 pd 2b walked.I paid the $10 pd but how do I know for sure that my dog got walked; my dog hasn't been the same since.I recently took my dog for her annual. The vet found a serious heart issue with dog. I had 2 take her 2 specialists . In the middle of all this very serious heart issue with my dog, the Hickory Vet Clinic literally stop all communication with me, so I had to keep calling the specialists to find out what to do next. Normally, the specialists send ur primary vet the test findings & then ur vet is suppose to communicate w/you. NOT THIS VET. They just blew off my sick dog into the dust. I found a new VET!!

They never take you on time with appointment. Figure at lease a 10 to 15 minute wait before you are called back. Once you are in the exam room figure at least 30 to 45 minutes before vet comes. After exam you'll wait at least 10 to 15 minutes before vet comes back into room to talk to you. Allow 10 minutes at front desk to be checkout and to pay for the OVERPRICED services. Staff and doctors are OK but the wait is RIDICULOUS !

I had been going here since 1989 when Dr. Senior and Dr. Bogarty (husband & wife) ran it. They were great, loved animals, reasonably priced, and knowledgeable. Under the new ownership, prices have skyrocketed and the care is sub-standard. My dog had surgery that cost $2,000 and when I picked her up she was covered in blood, urine, and diarrhea. Stitches broken open the next day and I was charged $200 to re-stitch. Dr. Mullen joined under the old owners and is still there - he was very compassionate when we had to put her to sleep only a few months after all of that. I have since switched to Bel Air Vet and am very pleased.

This place used to be great under the original owners who had been here for 20+ years. They retired and sold the business to these new owners who are cold, money-hungry, and couldn't care less about animal welfare. Don't go here, they will run every test under the sun and run up your bill like you won't believe. I know so many people who were clients for YEARS and now refuse to go see these new vets. Also, they used to have many caring wonderful staff members who had been there forever, and have mysteriously disappeared. That says a lot.
