We used to have ferrets, and every time they needed medical attention, we had to take them to Madison. One of our ferrets developed adrenal disease and needed frequent shots. One of the vets there suggested we check out Dr. Jan at Healthy Companions as she is much closer. We did, and we then proceeded to switch all of our animals to her care. She's knowledgeable AND approachable. She explains things in a way that we (lay-people) can understand without talking down to us. I recommend her very highly.
