With difficulty, I summarize our experience this way; CARE completely discounted our concerns with such a medical procedure, and assured us we had no reason to fret. We specifically scheduled the appointment so our loved one could be cared-for by a particular vet. Our trust was violated when another vet conducted said procedure—the veterinarian we requested wasn’t even on the premises to monitor his condition and ensure our loved one was safe. CARE increased the anesthesia as a result of a “pain response” and he did not survive. CARE was diligent to ensure they received their $1500 payment the evening of his passing, and never once sent us any condolences for our loss. “UnCaring” would be a more appropriate name for this heartless establishment. They didn't have an ultrasound machine and should have recommended I go somewhere that had one. Too late by the time I got to a specialist the cat was too far gone to save from a tumor in his belly. Click to report rating    2/18/14   5     5     5     5   The staff really listens and takes the time to find out what your pet needs. One of my two rescue dogs has multiple health issues; hip dysplaysia, elbow dysplasia, seizures, food allergies and a problem with a disc in her back. They offer chiropractic, acupuncture and laser therapies which have been very helpful for my dog's joint problems. My other dog had a tic borne disease that was found because of an annual screening test they offer. The test is optional but it was worth it. She was treated with an antibiotic and is fine now. They will work with you to make pet health care decisions and find the best treatment that is affordable for you. Instead of vaccinating annually , they will do titer testing to check if the pet still has antibodies to the disease, which I prefer. They are also certified by the AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association). I have taken my two dogs to Care Animal Hospital for seven years and am happy to recommend them. RID: 49908
