Will NEVER take my dogs back to this clinic. Staff is rude, and their "puppy package" is unreasonably priced for the treatment you are given. Also be watchful with your credit card information you release to them. They retain the numbers following the initial transaction, and will run other charges without you prior knowledge or authorization, which I recently discovered they did to my account. My bank and I are already in the process of investigating this situation.

I created the original post on the dog with the skin irritation. Without any of the prescribed products, the place cleared within a couple days and to this date has not returned. The dog has a sensitive stomach and the medicene would have caused more harm than good. He is a happy, healthy Papillon and we celebrated his third birthday this year. He likes to participate in agility activities and is an outstanding member of our family. We now visit Butler Animal Clinic (in Karns, TN) and are very happy with their services. I have been a pet owner my entire life, and this happens to be the only negative feed back I will offer. Taking your animal to a different clinic will prove both emotionally and monetarily (even with the discount) more rewarding. Enjoy your animals!

One time my cat, Stewie, yes named after Family Guy, had a urinary blockage, which I didn't know at the time. I brought him in to My Pet's and within 7 seconds Dr. Sam diagnosed his Urinary Tract Blockage which I was unaware of at the time, he's just that darn good, seriously. He would have died in a few more hours is what I learned from researching the condition so I thank Dr. Sam's unfathomably fast diagnosis for the life of my cat. They have two offices one on Northsore Dr. in Knoxville and one on Lois Lane in Alcoa TN. They've saved my animal's lives at least three times, twice with Stewie and once with Sylvester my other cat, which ended up dieing anyway due to a very rare disease. When we put Sylvester down Dr. Sam made it much easier on myself on my family and really made us feel welcome and comfortable during a pretty tough time. I recommend this place to anyone anytime.

As the veterinarian who saw this case, I would like to add comment. We are a caring practice who prides ourselves in complete exams and high quality medicine. If a pet presents for a skin irritation, we still complete a full exam, pretty much from head to tail! We appreciate feedback so we can improve our customer service but do not make apologies for exam findings listed above by the owner. The owner sent a representative who agreed to all of the above treatment before prescribing anything. FDA does not allow us to resell of drugs that have left the clinic. This is a safety issue put in place for protection of your pet. I would also like to add that we use steroids very carefully. These were topical steroids similar to hydrocortisone like is available at a local drug store, not oral. I stand by my medical knowledge of this case. I hope her pet was okay without treatment. If you would like to give us a try, bring this reply for $10 off a visit.

My dog had a simple skin irritation (which he had had once before and cleared fine). I had my boyfriend take him to see if there was an alergy. They sent him home with four different medicenes (pain killers, anti-biotic, and STERIODS) totalling well over $100. I just wanted to know if he had an alergy. They came up with other illnesses that my three year old PERFECTLY health dog had (i.e. arthritis, heart problems, dental decay). My dog is happy and fine (other vets have said so). They just want you to come back for multiple jobs. Would not refund my money on the meds even though they were unopened in package. I just threw them away. I think the medicene would have made him sick and done more damage than good.
