This is my first visit to this clinic. I came here because I wanted a specific doctor - Shawnne Spencer. He is excellent with animals. My two dogs just love him! I trust his judgement without question! The facilities are beautiful. I waited just moments before being seen, and since I got great service, I believe I got great value for my money. By the way, I left my previous clinic - Beltsville Veterinary Hospital in Beltsville, MD, because they have serious attitudinal issues with their front office staff, including the office manager.

Dr. Whall, his associate and the staff are very special people, who look at your animal not as a pet, but as a loved family member, always with a smile and a sense of humor.

I would never recommend this clinic!! I brought my cat in for a check up becasue i was very concerned about her weight loss. I was told i would get lab results the next day. No one called. When I called and they promised to call the following day..again no call about the lab results as they promised. We are now into the weekend and the clinic is closed. I also emailed with my concern-which the promised to answer in 24 hours.AGIAN no response. They were very quick to get a payment of $275 dollars, Im still waiting on lab results. The service is poor and incompetent!!!

I have rated this animal hospital a 5 in all catagories. The staff is friendly, courteous, and very helpful. They are always accomodating and concerned. Their facilities are clean and very well equiped. They have ordered perscription foods for my pet and if I needed a perscription and they didn't have the perscribed medication they would see to it that the perscription was called into the pharmacy of my choice. The Dr always calls back to answer questions, offer referrals and they are always willing to go the extra mile. They put our pets first. Sometimes I have to wait but that is usually because of an emergency that took priority. Consumer Checkbook has rated them very high as "best value" for many years. I couldn't imagine going anywhere but to Fairland Animal Hospital for my pet's care.

They only care about money. There is one good female vet there but there is also a bookkeeper that is nasty and could have harmed my dog. My dog had a tumor removed. We paid have of the bill at the time of surgery. When we came back two and a half weeks later to pay the bill, we found out that they didn't send the biopsy out because the bill was not paid in full!! The vets didn't make the decision, the bookkeeper did. Because of money, my dog could have died. They took $250.00 at the time of surgery which left a balance of $220.00. I wouldn't trust a vet that cares more about money or keeps staff that cares more about money than the patients.
