Click to report rating    1/6/16   2     2     3     1   I have been bringing my dog for years to this practice She has been on maintenance medications for years. She is 15 years old I called for a renewal of a prescription 3 days before I went away at Thanksgiving. I was told I needed to see a vet before they would refill the prescription. that Saturday I say a vet Don''t know the name. She asked what the problem was and proceeded to want to do expensive blood tests and x-rays. When Samara was first diagnosed they didn't put her through this. When I said no, she proceeded to pull and push at my dog's problem area. I had asked her to look at Samara's previous medical history. Which she did not. My dog was so traumatized that she could barely walk. I needed help getting her back in the car and for 4 days she had problems. Don't bring your animal to this practice. RID: 59428
Click to report rating    10/30/13   1     1     3     1   Edit: I maintain that Susan was so very dear & I will forever have fond feelings for her kindness with my kitty and me. I do not blame her for the ignorance of a practice that doesn't bother to procure the basic necessities for our little animal gifts from God who share their lives and love with us. However, I would not bring ANY pet to this practice after knowing what I now know. This practice has no blood pressure monitoring equipment. Monitoring an elderly cat for hypertension is an absolute necessity. A practice w/ the word “Hospital” in their name without the basic ability to check or monitor an animal’s BP is unthinkable. I continue to cry and feel such deep sorrow every day, missing my baby - but especially because I didn't do right by him by doing the research and finding him the right care. RID: 47988
Click to report rating    10/8/13   4     5     4     2   The 2 vets my beloved elder kitty visited were both caring and competent. Dr. Susan Niamatali, who saw him 4 or 5 times over the past year, was always kind and gentle with him and he always felt safe in her hands. She listened to my concerns, spent as much time as necessary to answer my questions, documented everything very well, & always returned my calls promptly. Sadly, we had to euthanize him yest. a.m. (almost 17 yrs old); thankfully Susan was there to do it. This was so sad and traumatic. She was gentle with him and us, and even hugged me in an effort to console my aching heart. I trusted her & her knowledge. That said, I do think the prices for services etc at this practice are on the high side. Also, the vets here know little to nothing about any natural remedies. In their defense, most vets don't(neither do human physicians), & at least she readily admitted it and didn't recommend against anything I was doing that did help his condition over the past year. Thank you, Susan. RID: 47514
