We had brought our bunny to the vet for ear mites. Everything was ok on the first visit, then comes the checkup where the vet obviously didn't know how to work with or even hold small animals. Due to this, after trying to adjust the rabbit after squirming just a little, she squeezed him while wrapping him into a blanket causing what was believed to be his back breaking due to the vet because his entire back had been paralyzed. A week and a half later he passed away due to the lack education and malpractice of the vet. And at the time of the injury they kept pinning the blame on everything but their own employee doing the damage. Was a good vet at first then went downhill each and everytime we went.

I purchased a bottle of dasaquin vitamins for 170.00 dollars..When I got home, my wife found the same product online for 66.00 dollars at several dif. Sites..Robbery!!! Pure, and simple.also,When we took our mastiff there because of an emergency,, they told us they didn't have the proper equipment to treat him,And charged us 500.00 dollars and sent us to piper memorial in Middletown... I strongly suggest everyone to to go there instead.Beutiful building,, awsome doctors,, and reasonably priced..

I took in my cane corso when he was a puppy to get the ears cropped.. The worst choice I ever made in my life. The doctor told me and showed me pictures of the correct crop but instead did a battle crop. And once I went to get my dog back he was traumatized and you could see it in his eyes. I took a look at the ears and pointed them out right away saying that they are too short. The doctor kept me on false hope saying they will gradually stand and look like promised before the operation. This the 100% truth because not only was my dog cropped horribly, so was my friends that visited the clinic at the same time as me.

One of the best vets in the area. I live with birds, rodents, dogs, and cats and these guys see them all! Yes they are expensive but i have never heard of a vet that's NOT expensive, unless it's a low cost place with vets with no experience. I've been to vets in Manchester, Glastonbury and Vernon and would never go back. Bolton is the only place i trust with my beloved friends.

Watch for the upsell here. You have to ask them for other options otherwise bring your checkbook. A 400.00 dental cleaning for a 14 yr old with no tooth problems. Also, go over the bill ahead of time with the Vet. They try to get a billing person with you to seal the deal these days, and then you can't ask questions...they have to get the vet back in the room.

I had to add a positive comment in the middle of all these negative ones. Number 1- im a vet tech who works at a clinic that does not provide 24 hr care, so i have used this hosital for my emergancy visits, which are the most traumatic of all. Each time (4 over the years) has been a good experience during a bad situation. Each doctor has been professional and competent. My pets have received a good standard of care as well. #2- the cost is high, yes, and so is any good vet hospital, if you want somewhere cheap, your going to get worse service, from a tech thats the way it is, and guess what, nobody in the vet field is rich. Trust me, they arent getting wealthy trying to rip you off. #3- i havent met the whole staff, but there wasnt an uncompassionate person there. As a tech i would recommend bolton hospital to my friends and family, i trust them with my pets.

my dog was bitten by another dog and they stitched up a 9inch round wound and 5 days later the stitches busted open because of an abcess due to a pucture wound area. In short the wound should not have been stitched. They put my dog through another surgical cleaning of the wound. This time though did not stitch up the wound. Of coarse this was 3,000.00 dollars later. I took my dog home and used my own dressing and product and healed him up in 10 days. I have the pictures to prove it. Also, after the surgery not one person put on a protective collar so he could not get at his stitches. I had to call them and ask what was needed keep him away from his stitches. I would never take any animal there again. Money driven and inexperienced vets.

Staff was very rude and money driven. No compassion for my ailing dog...just wanted to know that I could pay right then and there, which I did - major surgery and they never followed up to see all was well...will never go back there - no compassion and no personal care.

They could not tell me why my 6 month old healthy dog did not survive a routine spay and entropion surgery. Very, very rude staff and supervisors. No one could help me. A facility that large, you would think that you would get a condolence phone call from the hospital manager or a supervisor. There are no reprocusions in this facility when a doctor makes a serious error. PLEASE BE ADVISE, BRING YOU PET SOME WHERE ELSE.

Overpriced, staff vets are new, inexperienced and unable to provide care other than very routine issues. We had to point out to them swollen lymph nodes, poor respiratory issues. They were unable to recognize the real problem until to late.

Everyone who works there in the clinic is very caring and knowledgeable. I would not recommend their trainers, they were not very creative at problem solving.
