The staff seemed to be good, facilities appeared to be good as well; however, we took our Siamese, Anna, in to be spayed; when we picked her up, w/in a few days, she developed a surgery-site hernia, abt the size of a walnut. We went back to the Vets, we were told it would "go away in a week or two." Two weeks later, the hernia was still there. We took Anna back for stitch removal, but nothing was done abt the hernia, other than we were told it would "go away soon." We took her back 3 times, requesting to have something done abt the hernia; the Vet kept telling us it was okay, and it would go away soon. While the hernia does n't appear to trouble the cat much, I did not appreciate being told that it was "normal swelling from surgery, and would go away." I felt they should have done something abt it; and I have NOT returned to them since. Also, we were NOT allowed into the exam rooms w/ the cat on the initial visit - I did not feel quite comfortable w/ that.

I have taken my pets to several vets in the Texarkana area. When I took my dog to State Line Animal Hospital, I knew I had found the place I would take all my pets from here on out. Dr. Ward is a very knowledgeable and friendly person. He takes the time to really explain everything he does and why he does it. We take both our dogs and both our cats to him and just hope he stays in the area a long time. The staff there is extremely friendly. I couldn't ask for more in a veterinary office!
