Click to report rating    10/6/14   5     4     4     4   We have a new Golden Retriever pup and have been very happy with the staff and care she has received from Dr.Dalton at White near Animal Hospital. All the staff are kind, friendly and seem to have a sincere interest in each pet. Dr. Dalton and the other Vets explain and educate us well on each visit and seem very knowledgable and honest. We were referred to WBAH and drive further than our previous Vet but feel it is worth it for the great care our pup receives. I would highly recommend them! Bobnnie Bjork RID: 53927
Click to report rating    12/8/12   5     5     5     5   In the past year I have moved my 6 cats from 2 other vets to Dr Dalton and am extremely satisfied. He is as concerned about my feline babies as he is about his own animals. He takes my information into consideration. The staff is very friendly, helping to get my cats from my van into the office if my arthritis is acting up. RID: 38946
Click to report rating    12/5/12   5     5     5     5   Great staff. Friendly, helpful, understanding and genuinely caring. I feel the staff and Doctors really care about the well being of my pets and my concerns and feelings as a pet owner. We took in a stray cat - cat had FIV and we were given options other than putting the kitten down. We relly feel a sense of compassion from the Doctors we spoke with at WBL Animal Hospital. Click to report rating    12/5/12   5     5     5     5   White Bear Animal Hospital Employees care for more than just the animals that come in they also care for the owners that bring them. They truly understand how our pets are a part of our family. I had brought my kitten there when after she had suffered a head injury and all the employees were amazing throughout the entire process of her care. My kitten did not make it despite every effort of the clinic staff. A short time after this incident the clinic sent a memorial in my kitten's honor and sent me a card as well. I have been so pleased with White Bear Animal Hospital that I have bringing my pets there ever since and that was 10 years ago. They currently provide care for my 13 year old cat and my 1.5 rescue dog. RID: 38888
Click to report rating    12/5/12   5     5     5     5   I transferred my cat's care to Dr. Stark after helping a friend bring her cat in for a vet. appt. w/ Dr.Stark. I was really impressed w/ her knowledge of dental care for cats! My cat has dental issues and I felt I received a lot more information from Dr. Stark than I did from my previous vet when I brought my cat in for her yearly exam and shots. I also got solid diet/food recommendations for my cat as well. This is a very clean, well-kept clinic. RID: 38886

Click to report rating    2/9/12   5     5     5     5   White Bear Animal Hospital donates free or reduced-cost veterinary services and products for our service dogs in-training. The time and energy and compassion the incredible staff give has enabled our organization to place 10 Service dogs with inmates in a Federal Prison. The inmates are raising and training Assistance Dogs for placement with persons having physical disabilities. The inmates learn to train and care for service dogs, and develop increased levels of responsibility, empathy, and emotional regulation. If not for the integrity and community caring of Dr. Dalton and White Bear Animal Hospital, We simply COULD NOT provide this program to the inmates - period. We have a very significant investment in our dogs and program. WBAH has earned our trust and respect in every way...they not only treat our dogs like they were thiers, but they treat 'em like family! Click to report rating    1/6/12   5     5     5     5   I have been bringing all my cats to see Dr. Stark. She is so kind and caring. I took in my first kitten and her siblings when they were only 3 weeks old, Dr. Stark was so helpful with the MANY questions I had for her. I would recommend this clinic to anyone! GREAT staff, GREAT Dr.'s! RID: 30326
Click to report rating    3/11/11   5     5     5     5   The staff is very friendly and helpful. They take every step to make sure you are informed about the condition of your pet. They are empathetic when you need to make the end of life decisions as well. RID: 23476
Click to report rating    3/10/11   5     4     5     3   I have been a client of White Bear Animal Hospital for 14 years, and have never had a reason to second-guess their advice, treatment and care. I have trusted my show dog with them, along with my family cats. During the two events when I had to say "goodbye" to a family member, they were warm, gentle and caring. I appreciate the honest and logical style of care my pets receive. There are a lot of less expensive vets out there, but would you trust your pets in their care? THANK YOU! RID: 23450
Click to report rating    3/9/11   5     4     5     4   I got my cat Monte from a rescue shelter in 10/2008 and he ended up having multiple medical ailments that needed to be treated. The staff at the White Bear Animal Hospital was extremely thorough with their care and treatment for my cat, which was greatly appreciated by me as a new cat owner. Over the past few years I have continued to take my cat here and have never been disappointed. When I come prepared with a list of seemingly random and possibly silly questions about my cat’s health they always take the time to methodically answer each question and treat me and my cat with respect. I’m thankful for the WBAH and all the care they’re give me and my cat! RID: 23422
Click to report rating    2/16/11   5     4     5     4   I have taken my dogs to WBAH for 2 years now. Dr. Sidra Stark has been one of the best vets that I have gone to. I have a golden retriever with a very tricky medical issue called Megaesophagus and she has been there for me every step of the way. She has done research on her own time about new treatments, taken the time to listen to all of the things I read on the web and give her input on what may or may not help. She always treats me with respect and I feel like she is a friend after all of the visits. She has been someone that always listens to both concerns about cost and will do everything she can within your limitations. I recently had to make the difficult decision to euthanize my labrador and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to help her to the other side. She was also a great comfort to me at the time. Dr. Stark and the staff at WBAH always know my name when I walk in the door and I would highly recommend this clinic. RID: 22904

2/14/11   5     4     5     5   As the new owner of White Bear Animal Hospital, I want to address the issues raised by the very negative review from 10/31/2009. I purchased White Bear Animal Hospital in January of 2010. The review refers very specifically to former hospital owner Dr. Wayne Scanlan. Dr. Scanlan no longer owns or works at this hospital. It is truly unfortunate that Maria had a bad experience relative to her dog's surgeries. However, I want to assure her, our clients and the general public that the issues raised in the review in no way reflect how we now practice veterinary medicine at White Bear Animal Hospital today. I take great pride in knowing that the care we provide our patients and clients is compassionate, thorough and professional. Our motto is “We treat your pets like they’re our own” and we do our very best to live up to those words every day. RID: 22858
Click to report rating    10/31/09   1     1     1     1   My dog has two cruciate repairs with Dr Scanlon. The records from the 1st surgery stated her Posterior Cruciate Ligament (PCL) was completely torn and removed. The records from her 2nd surgery stated that a specific portion of her meniscus was torn and removed. Well today she had a 3rd cruciate repair with an Orthopedic Surgeon. The orthopedic surgeon found that not only was her PCL still present it was completely intact. He also found that the portion of menicus that they stated was removed was still present and torn. A vet clinic is required to keep accurate medical records. Not only were the medical records wrong, they failed to correct their errors from the 1st surgery, ie say that her PCL was not removed and is intact. I have no problem with Dr Scanlons 2 surgeries failing, that can happen, but I do have a problem with my dogs medical records being grossly inaccurate, which probably means there are more pets with miss information in their medical records. RID: 15120
