PARK HILL PET CLINIC really "ROCKS". This is a small veterinary clinic operated by Dr. Mary Emerick,DVM. Dr. Emerick is a knowledgeable veterinarian with compassion for both your pets and you the pets owner. She works really hard in her practice and caring for the needs of her two older teen age boys. If she happens to look tired on the day that you visit she has good reasons to look tired. Unlike many veterinary offices you will not be bombarded with pressure to buy special products or services that you are not requesting. The prices for the services that you do seek are always fair and reasonable. If you want a down to earth veterinary service that will always treat you fair and with respect this is it.Located on the North side of I-40 in North Little Rock at the Park Hill Exit. They over medicated my dog which ended up killing her. The back up vet Dr. Foster laughed at me when I told him I researched the medicine given to my dog. They don't seem to have much compassion for animals, like its not a big deal to lose a what some consider a family member.

If your animal really has something wrong with it do not take it here. They are good shots and thats about it. Lost both dogs after long illnesses. They basically were clueless on how to treat anything that is not normal.

Park Hill Pet Clinic in my opinion is the BEST small animal veterinary clinic in Pulaski County. Located on the North side of I-40 in North Little Rock at the Park Hill Exit. It is operated by Dr. Mary Emerick, DVM. – Dr. Emerick is a very compassionate person to both animals and people. You would like her if you get to know her and your animals will come to love her.
I live in West Little Rock near the intersection of HWY 10 & Taylor Loop. There are 3 veterinary clinics within 1 mile of this intersection. But I drive approximately 15 miles to Dr. Emerick’s Clinic because I value the veterinary care she provides above that of any other Central Arkansas DVM. Another bonus is her rates are very reasonable.
The previous 4/21/11 negative rating for this clinic seems so unfair to me. Distemper is rare at vet clinics that primarily treat loved family pets because it can be prevented by vaccinations. There is no conclusive test to prove distemper & both the vets had a similar diagnosis.

I took my dog to this vet because my vet wasn't in. He was being treated for an unspecified virus. First of all, no one spoke to me except the vet. The rest of the staff were completely mute except for the receptionist who asked my name. Then 160.00 later I left with my dog who was critically ill and all she could tell me was that it made her think of Distemper but she had not seen that in a long time and my pet didn't have the green discharge from the eyes, which was the ONLY symptom of the disease he did not have. Well, the next morning, my dog had a temp of 108 and I rushed him to my regular vet and he died there. The cause? My vet said more than likely Distemper.
