Dr. Don saved my macaws life using blood from 2 of his own macaws as blood donors. A miracle, and reasonably priced as he joked! I recommend him to all of my pet loving friends.

Dr. Don is great. He is a true animal lover. he is certainly not in the business for the money. I always know I can trust his opinion on food, testing, etc.

We have had Dr. Don as our vet for several years now for our cat and aging Bassett Hound. He is punctual and knowledgeable and prices are reasonable. It is very helpful to have him come to the house as our cat experiences high anxiety when she leaves the house. I have and will continue to recommend him to people I know.

i have a bird and he is the only vet to have saved his life. The bird went to bird specialists in tpa and they couldn't even save him. i recommend him completely.

Dr Don is a skilled vet. I have heard wonderful things about his ability. He's a cool guy but can have a rough bedside manner -worth it though

Dr. Don's been my vet for more than a decade. He's a great vet and a great guy. His rates are always reasonable and having your pet treated in your home is always the best bet. If I had to rate Dr. Don from 1-10, he'd get a solid 10. ~Sam Green

Dr Don Has been my vet for 7 years. I would never go anywhere else. he is caring and very reasonable with his fees. He dosent try to sell you loads of tests and even treated my dying ferrett for free before I was even a client.

I was visiting my sister and she had an old, sick cat. She wanted to have him euthanized. She has used Dr. Don for quite a while. She did not want to be in the room. I have attended these procedures for my own pets and they were always compassionate, calm passings. Dr Don came and could not have cared less. He did not tranquilize the cat he just grabbed his back leg and tried to shove a needle in, the cat resisted and the Dr. kept shoving only to bend the needle! He had to go out and get a new needle. Meanwhile his assistant was trying to hold the cat down and the cat jumped down to escape. The assistant grabbed him and used force to keep the cat pinned down. Dr. comes back, grabs the other back leg and shoved the needle in. Then counted "3, 2, 1." It was like a bad murder, not a transition to the other side. I was horrified. I wish I had thought fast enough to stop this and take the cat to another vet. It was awful and my vets in MN are much more efficient & compassionate.

Dr Don has been taking care of my collies for over 10 years. He came to my home to give litters health checks and shots. He recently diagnosed one with cancer and had to put him down. My entire family would be lost without him. he is truely a great vet.

When we bought our 2nd puppie, we took her to Dr. Don. We kept our other dog at his vet since he had been established there for 4 yrs. When the older one needed surgery, at a huge cost, I called Dr. Don. It was a fraction of the fee the other vet was charging. Needless to say, Dr. Don performed the surgery and both dogs now go to Dr. Don! His personality can be a bit eccentric, but he loves his job and is very good at it.

Dr Don is a true rabbit savvy Dr. Many Sarasota vets claim they are rabbit savvy and are not. Don truly is Rabbit Savvy and saved my rabbits life. PLease rabbit owners see only Don your rabbit deserves the best and he is! Twenty four carrot thank you for saving baby bun bun !!!

Dr. Don really cares. He puts time (without charge) into solving pet problems. He's not always exactly on time, but he's close; other pets on his route may have problems that delay him. The location of his office when he changed should have prompted notice to his clients, but he says I'm the only one who didn't know. He should listen more carefully and can be rushed. But he seems to be very competent with his medical advice. When my cat was bored, he advised getting another; we had problems and then he said he really didn't know that much about cats (unlikely). When my cat developed cataracts, he advised against operating, but didn't tell me about local, competent cat ophthamologists or that cataracts can have causes that don't require operating; he just advised against operating. I guess I'm saying he takes time to discuss over the phone and is an angel about that, but it would be helpful if he took more time on a call so that he could really listen and respond more fully & carefully.

Dr. Don is kind, gentle, thorough and so caring about our cats. Having the choice of house calls or going to the Ashton Clinic is great. He really takes the time to understand each animal, listen to symptoms and figure out how to treat. He's terrific.

a SUPER bird vet!! I love the holistic approach to bird care, and he really 'speaks' parrot. I refer everyone close by venice to him. you won't be disappointed.

JUST AWESOME. DR. DON IS THE BEST. HE TRULY CARES FOR YOUR PET(S) AND UNDERSTANDS THEM. HE DOESN'T TRY TO SELL YOU PRODUCTS, TREATMENTS AND OTHER THINGS THAT YOU DON'T NEED AND IS ALWAYS THERE TO ASSIST IN WHATEVER CRISIS YOU MAY HAVE. HE SAVED OUR DOGS LIFE. HE ALSO PUT OUR BELOVED ILL AND OLDER PET DOWN IN MY ARMS. I CAN'T THANK HIM ENOUGH. WE LOVE HIM AND THERE IS NO OTHER VET THAT I TRUST FOR OUR PETS NEEDS. THANK YOU DR. DON! PAM, MIKE, MR. Dr. Don saved my Afican Grey after 2 botched sugerys done by another well meaning, but inept vet. I can't thank him enough, and will never take my birds to anyone else.

Dr. Don has cared for my macaws for 15 years. They have a terminal illness and would have died ages ago if not for him. He's proactive, loving and brilliant. My birds are doing well and have a great quality of life thanks to Dr. Don. He's always there for us and I'm so grateful that I have access to such a high quality vet. He rocks!

Dr. Don is fair priced and, more importantly loves Dogs! I'm sure he loves all animals, but he is so great with our dog. I would highly recommend him!

Dr. Don is our primary vet for our rescue. He and his staff have been excellant, and we highly recommend him. (As long as everyone doesn't overbook him, we've gotta keep him for our bunnies!!) :-)

Dr. Don's Pug fathered ours. She loves Dr. Don and so do we. He makes house calls for a couple of extra dollars, it is well worth not having to drive to his clinic and the dogs don't stress. He really cares about his patients. He is a great vet and we recommend him to everyone.

Just met Dr. Don. He makes housecalls and is priced very reasonably considering the level of service. I am extremely impressed with his knowledge, experience, and confidence in his work. He will be my vet for as long as I live in Sarasota and I highly recommend him to all!

Dr. Don is absolutely awesome! If you live in his area he will come out to your home for a reasonable price. He has worked on my pets and ALWAYS did right by my pets and my checkbook. I refer everyone I know to him.
