I am giving Valley Animal high marks because of Dr Herrington and only because of him. He is a GREAT doctor and does his focus is on the animal not the owner's instruction to "get all the money you can and push surgery". Dr. Herrington needs to go out on his own or go to another animal hospital. I think I can promise if that happens about half of Valley's business will go with him.

I think this is the best veterinary hospital I have ever been to. The staff and docs were great and I love that they have everything my pets and I need at one location 24/7. I would highly recommend them to anyone!!!

My wife came home upset per being treated poorly at our dogs appt. All he needed was his annual shots & was not able to get them because the staff decided to skip her at the appt. Time. So 45 mins after her sitting there with our restless dog she asked the staff why she hadn't been seen yet & got 2 different answers. My wife ended up leaving and the staff didnt care one bit & scheduled an appt. Elsewhere. We will never deal with this vet center again!!

My ferret suffered a dog bite to the eye & nasal cavity. I brought him in on a Sunday,2pm, and he was literally thrown in an oxygen tank with the bloody blanket I brought him in, w/ his vitals not being taken or recorded til after 11pm which is coincidentally the time I called to check on him (I requested the copy of his vitals and still have the original handwritten document from their office). He was supposed to receive surgery the next morning ASAP. Everytime I called to check on him, he was confirmed to be stable & doing fine, awaiting surgery. & everytime I called, the surgery was delayed. They delayed his surgery all the way until OVER 24hrs from the time I brought him in, causing his wounds to go septic unattended w/ a fever by 4:30PM Monday. Told me they could not operate on him during a sudden turn for the worse. Wound up being there for 3DAYS due to human negligence & wrong decisions. After my boyfriend threatened to sue them, they finally fixed the situation & got him well

I really was totally dissatisfied with many of the vets there. There were 2 I adored who have left and I was very upset. The 2 who left were kind and compassionate and only recommended the things they felt were necessary. My dogs did perfectly fine under these two vets care...the three others I unfortunately saw were rude or just plain stupid wanting to have their techs do all their work while they never once came into the room. They ordered massive XRays which they did wrong and wanted to charge me. They never gave my vet any messages I left, and I run a shelter. No work done there was ever free, even though I had a license.

Dr. Harrington is the only veterinarian at Valley who is good. The others follow Dr. Warfield's instructions, i.e. get as much money as you can and push surgery.

They tried to charge us $500 for a few cuts the dog got from some broken glass. Somehow the cuts warranted bloodwork, IV fluids, and oral antibiotics. Anyone with a high school diploma can tell you that this is a total ripoff. All she needed was some flushing and maybe a few stitches. Other stories I've read about this place are similar. All they really want is your money. From what I witnessed, the entire staff was completely unprofessional: vet, techs, and especially the secretaries. Do not waste your money here. They will try to make it all seem necessary, but it's really not. We ended up taking her home and flushing the wounds ourselves and applying bacitracin. She's doing perfectly fine. I don't know what kind of fantasy world they're living in where they think she needs bloodwork or an IV for something like that. I am on track to vet school and this establishment makes me feel shameful.
