We live very close to this animal facility and have brought an injured cat there twice on an emergency basis. We don't have a car, so my husband had to run on foot to the hospital, only to be turned away because we didn't have the money to pay the high vet bill for the stray cats. I live on less than five hundred dollars a month Social Security, but this doctor wouldn't euthanize a badly injured cat for less than 170.00! A neighbor took a tiny kitten to the hospital with a broken neck and they wouldn't help the animal without 25.00, which my neighbor did not have:( The baby had to lie there and suffer until it died. I don't trust a vet who won't bend a bit out of concern for an injured animal.

The prices are very good, and by DC standards they are excellent-- try getting these kinds of prices just five miles away in Georgetown or Arlington! I've frequented Dr Manzoor about twice a year for the past ten years. He is direct and to the point and his medical practice is top-notch. A major infection surgery on my cat-- the incision on her back was over four inches-- was done amazingly well and with almost no scarring (and substantially less than a similar, but easier, procedure the year before on another cat at a "cats only" vet). Punctuality is sometimes a problem but each time I was delayed was for an urgent case, and the time I had an urgent case it was OTHERS who had to wait. Incidentally, Brentwood has been a practice for over 50 years!

Staff is generally uncaring and a bit rough with animals. The prices are very high.
