Had taken my dog to Dr Julie for 8 years, had to have my little dog euthanized due to end stage heart failure. DDR. Julie and staff were very supportive, up until about a month after losing my beloved dog, I received a letter from them telling me that they do not want to look after my pets anymore, not even in an emergency, all because I owed a little bit of money that I tried to make arrangements for. That wasn't good enough, my family found this letter to be heartless and cruel especially when we were still grieving the loss of an important and special part of our family. Its clear this vet places money above compassion when it comes to dealing with clients and their pets, especially during a difficult time such as euthanasia. I would not recommend this vet to anyone, they showed their true colours.

My dog has been taken care of there for 8 years. My recent visit was the last one in this clinic. Dr. McLean lost his temper and treated my dog, and me, in anger. His conduct was unprofessional. Additionally, I believe some lab tests are unnecessary (done without asking and explanation for rationale) and prices of some meds are doubled comparing to elsewhere. I am sorry to have to look for another clinic.

I called there for advice on administering meds and they insisted i bring the dog in. I went home after a bill of 200 dollars, was not told anything i didnt already know, and the dog was in more pain than before i took him there. Also was told to lower the dose of pain med when the dose was not helping the pain at the level it was. Lowering it was not going to help . The vet talked down to me and had know idea how well I know my dog, after treating him for the same problem for six years.

I have taken my pets to Ferris Lane for the past 13 years and have been quite satisfied with their service and vets My 2 dogs have gone there since pups and have been looked after with any conditions and resolved. They try very hard and do their best. Would recommend this clinic.

Desk staff was ignorant. Vet didn't know her ass from a hole in the ground. Way too expensive. Don't go there.

there was another animals BLOOD on the table and on the floor when I went to bring my 3 month old kitten in.. I didn't even want to let him on the table and the vet (dr. Cho?) didn't do anything about it. There were also nail clippings on the floor... It's still a medical facility and needs to be cleaned between animals. I WILL NEVER return here.

Staff and vets are amazing with me and all of my critters. They are always on time, take time to explain any problems and have saved my one cat's life a couple times. The only time my critters go anywhere else is to the spca spay/neuter clinic.

main office staff very rude; while front desk staff seemed to be embarrassed by poor comments. Service was very costly compared to another vet clinic.

I've been a loyal, long-standing client of Ferris Lane. Recently, I ran into some financial issues and Bailey fell ill [why do bad things happen in 3's? :( ]. But, Dr. Deroo came through and provided many low cost alternatives in treatment. Her compassion really helped me in my time of need. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about her and the friendly staff at Ferris Lane. I would highly recommend bringing your pets to Dr. Deroo!!

I had scheduled my dog for spaying which I had to cancel, she was in heat. I rescheduled 2 months later per their request and a week before she went in she looked like she had a bladder infection.$180 examin and $45 urine analysis later it was negative. She had the surgery and when I picked her up the cost was almost $100 more and they told me she was in heat so there was premium charge with all the blood. They told me nosugery when in heat but did it anyway and didn't call me. The old vet examined her and didn't know ?? My dog then started urinating heavily around the house and I called. The reception told me the vet would call me right back. Afetr 5 days and no change I called again, was told to bring in a urine sample, which I did the next day but it wasn't refrigerated, because no one told me to and now my dog had runny poop with blood. I went to another vet took action immediately with meds and my dog improved the next day. Won't go back or recommend them to anyone.

Several years ago, I was NOT impressed with this vet. Expensive and not interested. Then my old cat got sick and had dental abcesses in his mouth. The vet had changed and I was VERY impressed with her knowledge and her obvious love of animals. After treatment, my cat developed a nerve condition but the vet said she would look into it and thankfully she did follow up saying she had not seen this type if condition before but would assist in his care should it need to be. Thankfully he was fine and the vet called every week for several weeks to make sure he was ok. This vet also takes care of a dear coworkers animals and birds. She too is highly impressed

For years we took numerous pets to this vet until one day, we had to put our dog to sleep. We were having difficulty doing it. The vet stuck his head out of the door urging us to hurry-up and decide what to do. He did not even have the decency to ask how our Dog was. We walked away and have not used them since. This was about 8 years ago. Also when we were using them we found their clerical staff very rude and unfriendly!! We would not recommend this vet!!!

I had a reptile that was very badly injured and it was the early evening when I started calling different clinics for help. I had called 3-4 other clinics before I called Ferris Lane and all the other clinics kept trying to book appointments with me for the next day despite my insistence that my reptile was dying. Ferris Lane took me immediately without hesitation and although my reptile had to be humanely euthanized, they were very knowledgeable and compassionate.

We had boarded our dog once previously, when she was left there againfor a short stay. When we returned we discovered that she had been MAULED by a German shepard at the same kennel facility. Staff claimed the two shepards were locked in runs & that they broke into our dog's run. She was badly bitten and required extensive followup treatment and her entire rear shaved to treat deep bite wounds. She was also bitten on the ear and several other places. Our own vet said she had fought for her life. The vet there covered her treatment costs and waived the boarding fees.

Very nice people and great facility. Went for years before discovering their knowledge base about allergies could have been better.
