After new ownership and management this clinic is very well managed, compassionate and friendly! The staff are so experienced and always want the best for our pets. The staff are so hard working and sweet to talk to. They always take great care of our dog who has terrible skin issues and make the time to get us her meds and care when needed. After my brothers dog had some u explained issues they did all the testing they could to find out what was wrong. The main vet even did extra research and contacted other colleagues and people she had gone to school with to find the answers. The head vet is always willing to five the honest truth and not just try and make some money of you. She is honest and hardworking putting in the extra hours when I know she has 3 kids. We love Erica! Best vet I’ve ever known!

We have taken multiple pets to this clinic over the years. All of their vets and technicians are professional, knowledgeable as well as caring and compassionate. They always provide options were applicable and always treat our animals with their health and comfort in mind!

We have dealt with Chedoke since getting our first dog Sadie, English Bull Terrier, in 1991. Excellent care, they have been there for us every time our dog has needed them. Very kind when the first dog had to go to sleep because of cancer. Helped place, Spike, toy poodle, the second dog, that wasn't meant for us. My third dog, Sidney, purebred Shih Tzu: The vet cried along with me when he had to be put down. He was the best dog I EVER had and was always great at the vet. My fourth dog, Emma, miniature poodle, bought when Sidney was only 6, is now over 5 and is doing very well. My new dog, standard poodle, is 3 months old and we get to see the same vet we had when we started there. She has looked after all our dogs. And I am forever grateful to her for how wonderful, kind and caring she has been with my pets.

Took fantastic care of our aging golden and when he developed an aggressive form of lymphoma they were only interested in helping him have good pain management and maintain a good quality of life for as long as possible. They did not push intrusive tests or treatments and when the time came they helped ease his way in a very dignified and humane manner. Can't say enough good things about this clinic!

My two bichone frises, Samantha and Nakita, have been visiting this location for approximately twelve years. We love the staff, they are so patient, friendly, very loving and understanding when it comes to my girls. Also, they are extremely patient when explaining medical things to me. Most of our visits have been wonderful, unless one of my girls is ill, well then not so wonderful for me but the care and time taken by the staff is amazing.

My 3 yr old schnoodle was obviously in pain with a hard abdomen. The vet advised expensive tests that resolved nothing and sent us home. I brought her back the next day demanding to see a different vet (the first one also tried to sign us up for a very expensive dental plan for our 14 year old beagle a few years ago before he passed away). She took a urine test, advised us she had a bladder infection,prescribed weak antibiotics. Came back two weeks later, still had infection advised us to have ultrasound at clinic in Mississauga ($800 plus) and she wanted to insert needle through abdomen into bladder to get sample but since they don't have ultrasound mentioned danger of puncturing intestines! All they care is about how much money they can scare to into spending (last quote was about $2000. Demanded stronger antibiotics only. After completing my dog was fine. Will never set foot in that place again.

My baby Tabitha had many medical issues over the years and everyone at Chedoke Animal Hospital was absolutely amazing to not only Tabitha, but me as well:) I 100% recommend them to care for you furrbabies!

I brought my cat there initially because it was close to home and the neuter was the cheapest there. Best decision of my life! Great staff (of which I found out my friends mom is a vet tech there), great pricing, and every time I took Rupert there they always gave him the love and affection he craved. Sent him home with a little catnip toy, and he always seemed happy. I recommend them to anybody. To the person who mentioned they aren't compassionate because they walked in at the last moment with a sick animal, they aren't an emergency service. They have certain hours. And it is insurance liability purposes why they can't help you after hours (just like in retail, if something happens to customers after hours, store isn't covered, and employees a certain time after close aren't covered). If you have an emergency, I recommend to anybody to go to the clinic downtown, but for check ups and basic surgeries, go there! They are fantastic!!

Very expensive. Took my shepherd in when she was very sick. Because they were closing early on Saturday they would not take her in. That's after I carried her in and out of the clinic. They told me to go to an emergency clinic. Hows that for compassion.

The staff are very friendly and professional. They have a genuine care for the pets that come into their facility. The only downfall is the facility itself - although it is clean it is small, old and outdated. We've been bringing our dogs there for over 10 years and would recommend it to anyone!

They have always been great with my dog and regularly follow up after procedures or giving her allergy medication to make sure everything is fine. Would definitely recommend

I have dealt with this clinic for over 15 years and have experienced the utmost in professional and compassionate care for my pets - many dogs and their litters and 2 cats. I cannot understand these negative reviews either - except to say that part of owning a pet is care and maintance of it's health - and yes - there is an associated cost. Any owner who shops for a vet by price - or constantly changes vets - is doing their animal a diservice. As with humans, a vet needs to have the history of an animal to make an accurate diagnosis, and the best way to have this history is to use the same vet from birth/aquisition of the pet. It is up to us as pet owners to ask questions of the vet if we don't understand or agree with a diagnosis...vet's are human and make mistakes too! I wonder if the writers of bad reviews went back to the vet in question for clarification? I doubt it. This is a very good clinic with professional vets and compassionate staff and I would recommend them 100%

I can't believe the bad comments and ratings for Chedoke Animal Hospital. We have been going there for over 15 years. They take amazing care of my German Shepherd Dogs. My White Shepherd had a rare disease and they went over and above to diagnose and treat his issue. One Vet and staff actually sat with my dog through the night as they were afraid at one point that he would die. He went on to live another 9 years because of their care and devotion to him. I eventually lost him to cancer and they sent me to a specialist because they thought it was best for the dog. If they only cared about money, wouldn't they have just treated him and took my money?? I got a beautiful card when I lost my White GS and it was signed by the entire office with comments and meant a lot to us. Dr. DeVenne has so much experience and Dr Harris is excellent and the assistants are amazing with your pets, you can tell they love animals. I wouldn't take my guys anywhere else.

We've taken our dogs and small animals (rats and guinea pig) to this clinic for years. The prices are very reasonable. I can't figure out the negative feedback because we've never had anything but wonderful care from the vets at CAH. The staff have been very compassionate when we've had to put pets down - Dr. Harris is wonderful. I can't say enough good things about this clinic. HIGHLY recommend this clinic to anyone!

A female vet here (not sure of her name) killed my hairdresser's dog. Her dog went in to get it's regular shots (he was 8 years old) and 10 minutes later on the drive home he couldn't use his legs. She took him back and they said he had heat stroke. She ended up paying $600+ in additional services here to treat him. She later ended up taking him to Brantford because he had last control over his bladder and bowel and he was vomiting all night. Within 24 hrs of getting his shots at Chedoke he was dead. She was told it would cost $3000 to do an autopsy. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

A vet at this clinic told me that my cat was pregnant about a month and a half ago. her belly has not grown and i've come to realize that she actually isnt pregnant. this vet just didnt want to take the time to fully check out my feline friend. i am beyond disgusted by this woman's lack of interest in my animal and now there could be something seriously wrong since her uterus is swollen. Thanks for nothing chedoke animal hospital. paid 70 bucks for a **** check up.

They don't care about your animal, all they went is your money. They don't explain Medical issuse and what can be done to prevent you from have to spend big $$$ when your pet is sick, It took another vet at a different clinic for half the price to find out what was wrong with the pet, and then how to treat it, when as far as chedoke what concern there was nothing wrong. As for the 2nd pet we have, the new vet inform us about medical issuse that were in her recorde that were transfer from Chedoke and treatment that could be done, before it would cost as a fortune, something Chedoke could not be bother to do.
