I've had the pleasure of having both Dr Dyck and Dr Stogdale as my pet's vet. We switched to this clinic when all other vets could not and would not find out what was wrong with our chihuahua. Both Stogdale and Dyck have great personalities and work very hard to give the best vet care possible. I will always recommend these two as top notch vets in Winnipeg. They go above and beyond and you get what you pay for! ??

I contacted this clinic to get advice on treating my sick cat with a specific holistic oil. It was to be a "telephone" apptmt. with Dr. Stogdale. All up-to-date medical files were sent to her from my usual vet at least a week in advance so that she could be familiar with my cat's history. The day of the appointment I phoned Dr. Stogdale at the set time. She was friendly, but more interested in chatting to get to know MY particulars, instead of getting right down to business. Her fee was $200 PER HOUR - enough said! She READ through the file the whole time we were on the phone, obviously NOT being familiar with it, even though she had all the info well in advance.After 50 minutes, she finally gave me a vague answer to the question I had contacted her about, and "time was up - I will transfer you to the office clerk to get your billing done." I was left with no real help to my question.A terrible waste of time, money and hope. Very disappointd!

We bring our dog Leroy and our cat Magnolia to Aesops. We could not be happier with our experience here over the past few years. We consider Dr. Dyck our lifetime pet doctor ????

I am very happy with the services provided by Dr Kris Dyck at Aesops' Vet Care. She is very professional, thorough in her exam and communicates her findings and recommendations clearly. She has done some minor surgery on our dog and called me immediately after to let me know how our dog was doing. All the staff in the clinic are pleasant and it is obvious they love pets!

Dr. Dyck is very thorough, great with dogs and people and is enjoyable to visit. Visits with her take a long time because she's so thorough at documenting everything. The other staff at the clinic are very friendly and efficient.

Thank you, Dr. Stogdale. You diagnosed our bichon, Katie, within a half hour, despite three years and $7000 to our general vet who just seemed to give up on our girl. That was two years ago. This past week you referred us to Dr. K. at Transcona Vet Hospital when Katie suffered a really bad eye injury - sign of a great vet when you know of another vet who specialises and has even more knowledge regarding eyes. Thanks to you, Dr. Stogdale, Katie doesn't have to have her eye removed because it is healing just fine. Thank you, Dr. Stogdale, from the bottom of our hearts. Michel and Dorothy St. Jean, Winnipeg.

We are fairly new clients with Aesops as we have been taking our pets here for over a year now. When I first started going to this clinic, we had to leave messages to make appointments or ask questions but I'm very glad they went away from this approach. Dr. Hill and Dr.Stogdale are amazing. I truly feel like they listen and take the time to understand me. The reason for my lower rating is because they recently hired another vet, Dr.Dyck, as Dr.Stogdale will be retiring soon. I have to say I'm really not a fan of her and this is quite disappointing as I really enjoyed going here. Dr.Dyck arrives late to appointments, isnt very personable and she doesn't treat my pets well like the other vets at the clinic do. I actively avoid seeing her now which is unfortunate as I was looking forward to a long term vet care option. I may have to look at seeing going to another vet clinic now.

Dr. Stogdale and Dr. Hill are both just wonderful vets. A special thank you to Dr. Stogdale for figuring out what was wrong with our Chihuahua when no other vet could. I cannot tell you how great she is and how much we appreciate everything she has done. I think we would have lost our dog if we did not get a second opinion from her. She is genuinely concerned about your animals well being. We have been meeting with Dr. Hill for some ongoing care and she too is a great vet. Thank you for expanding your services. The receptionist Stacey is just wonderful and extremely helpful too. Thank you so much to you all. Keep up the great work. Now I only wish I could find myself a Dr. as great as these vets. :).

These vets aren't just GOOD -- they're GREAT. Not only are Dr. Lea and Dr. Esther incredibly knowledgable in holistic vet practices, they're both lovely people. My dog was having behavior issues that had been brushed off by other vets. I knew there was something deeper. So I took him to Aesops, they ran some tests, and saw instantly that his adrenal glands are over-taxed, causing anxiety... which caused his behavior issues. They put him on some special meds, and fixed the adrenal problem almost instantly. This kind of knowledge is not something every vet has, and I feel so lucky to have found Hill & Stogdale. They're beyond fantastic.

Drs Stogdale and Hill are first class. The basic office charge is slightly more than most vets, but it is well worth it. They don't try to sell you foods or items that are high cost and unnecessary, they don't try to guilt you into expensive tests, and they offer a prescription to take to the pharmacy... which is up to 3x cheaper than buying from a vet. When my elderly dog was at the end of her life and on increasing doses of narcotics, Hill and Stogdale made many phone consults at no charge as well as faxed updated prescriptions to the pharmacy at no cost. For our fat dog, instead of pushing expensive Prescription Diet they instead suggest feeding veggies while reducing the amount of his current kibble intake. They will also teach clients how to feed raw or feed homemade diets, and will try holistic avenues instead of immediately pushing drugs. They are very caring, very attentive, and answer all questions in terms easily understood.

I find the contact system for them really frustrating. There is never anyone to pick up the phone; you always have to leave a message. The availability of Dr. Stogdale and Hill is poor. They are really caring and attentive to our pets but in times of crisis, their limited availability makes a bad situation worse. It's too bad because I really like them, but I am considering changing vets due to this.

We are very fortunate to have a world-class practitioner like Dr. Stogdale here in Wpg. Our dog's digestive issues have resolved through a home based diet, selective canned food and raw food. The only reason punctuality might be an issue is because of her accessibility to all her patients when needed which is not necessarily a bad thing.

Dr Lea is such a lovely vet and has great interest in the welfare of cats. I love that she is a staunch advocate of feeding nutritionally optimal food for cats (aka raw food). I wish she would be in practice longer because I couldn't think of bringing my cats to anyone else. She's one of the best vets I've ever come across.

Lea Stogdale is the best. I have always trusted Lea's advice on the care of my animals (both cats and dogs). Lea has taught me so much to help me care for my critters at my home when they were sick - cutting down immensely on vet bills. I just wish there were more Lea Stogdales' around so I didn't have to travel so far to see her. Lea's specialty is cats and treating diabetes. Again, she was wonderful with me and my cat during his illness. I have placed my animals care in her hands now for around 25 years.

Dr Stogdale is a fabulous vet. I wouldn't take my cats anywhere else. She is kind and knowledgeable and won't suggest remedies or tests just to get money. She'll do only what's necessary but when something is truly necessary she will let you know very clearly that it is and why. She takes the time to look at the big picture and get to the real cause of any problems rather than just throwing antibiotics at it and hoping they might work. I have absolute faith and trust in her and am so grateful to have found her.

If it wasn't for Dr. Lea my little Yorkie would be having seizures weekly. Dr.Lea is the only vet I have seen that did not suggest putting my little fur baby on medication right off the hop. Dr.Lea believes in diet change, and alternative medication. She is not here to take your money like all the other vets. If you have been given devastating information on your pets I highly recommend going to Dr. Lea for a second opinion. She is extremely resourceful and full of informative knowledge. She gives you tons of information to take home with you, and every penny spent seeing her is beyond worth it.

We have known Dr. Lea Stogdale for almost 10 years. Simply put she is the best Vet available in Winnipeg. Her diagnostic skills are excellent. She has precisely identified illnesses/afflictions where other vets have failed. Consequently she has prolonged the life of more than one of our dogs. She takes the time to explain things and often will call you personally at home to discuss your pets health. Dr. Stogdale is not a take two pills and see you next week type of Vet; she explores holistic alternatives to improve the health of your pet. She is genuinely interested in the long term health and well -being of the pets that she treats.

Have utilized the expertise of Dr Stogdale for 12 years and can honestly say that from all ends of life's spectrum (death and dying plus kitten and healthy cat), I have been extremely pleased with all levels of care provided. At the very hard task of end of life issues, all was being done to give my pet care, comfort and compassion with my total participation in the process. In the kitten to healthy adult cat stage, care is provided with a wholistic approach, research based decision making and alternative approaches to healthy, happy kitty. I fell very lucky to have found such a professional, well informed and approachable Vet for the care of my most cherished friend.

Excellent. Has been caring for one of our dogs with a serious chronic illness for 6 years, he is with us today (healthy at age 10) because of the care provided. Has been the primary vet for our 2nd dog who is now age 6. Takes a thorough history before making decisions and listens carefully to signs and symptoms described by pet owner. Provides clear information regarding any health issues and is always willing to answer questions and concerns. We are very fortunate to have such an amazing veterinarian for our dogs!

My dog presents challenges, having inflammatory bowel disease as well as heart and skeletal issues. Dr. Lea Stogdale has for the past several years provided excellent care to my dear friend, employing holistic and traditional methods to meet the many situations which arise. She is thorough, well informed and informative, creative, clever and caring. She is generous with her time and efforts, has even provided her home phone number for distressing/emergency situations. Never have I been made to feel that I have done other than the right thing when I have called. I feel so fortunate to have found such a skilled and compassionate veterinarian and know my dog's quality of life has been greatly improved with Doctor Stogdale's wealth of knowledge and skills.

Dr. Stogdale has been my vet for over 10 years. She was the first vet I met who was supportive me testing the blood sugar of my diabetic cat at home. (I think her comment was something to the effect that diabetic people don't visit their doctor each time they needed their blood glucose checked) She provided instructions and guide lines for adjusting the insulin. All I had to do was call her on a regular basis with updates and if there were concerns she'd contact me. . . . . . .
When my cat was facing a particularly complex surgery, she explained the treatment options, side effects, costs and wanted me go home and think about things before making a decision. After surgery, Dr. S. gave me her home phone number in case he wasn't doing well, and she even called me at home on the weekend to see how he was doing. Thanks to Dr.S our furry friend had an extra 8 happy yrs with us. . . . . I've followed her to different locations and will continue to follow her when she relocates next month.

We love Dr. Stogdale. Such a knowledgeable, friendly, caring lady. She is the only vet I've ever seen that truly listens - and demonstrates so by taking detailed notes of the visit so you have something to refer back to later. I couldn't believe when she returned a phone call, and spent half an hour on the phone with me. The issue with our pup has mostly resolved itself, but we would not hesitate one second to take her back, or to recommend Dr. Stogdale.

Dr. Stogdale is a well-read and informed veteranarian especially with regards to cat and dog nutrition and internal medicine. She has been our vet for over 7 years with great referrals for needed surgeries and specialists.She cares personally about her clients pets and their owners.
