You cant get out of there without a prescription for your pet.I had 2 Cockers and every time without exception, we left there with At Least one prescription, usually more. One dog had itchy ears that was 3 prescriptions. One had dry eyes that was over $200.00 and 3 precriptions. I was told I had to come back so my dog could see the eye specialist, so we went back and he performed the same tests that the regular vet did !!! So I had to pay for the visit and the exam, and the 3 scripts. These people care about the money not the pet. I had my little Cocker put to sleep there and that cost over %250.00!! Do yourself and your pet a favor and go somewhere else.

We had just found out that a puppy from our dogs litter had Parvo- a serious illness and because our puppy just vomited we took her to the VCA Emergency room. The private room they put us is was so dirty and covered in fur. They sent us outside with a vile to see if she would**** so they could test it. Later another Doctor saw us going outside and told us to have her go the bathroom it the room on the floor, they gave us nothing for her to go in. She peeped all the floor we did everything we could to clean it with bleach because we knew they wouldn't. Infected dog can shed the virus in his ****, which makes him extremely contagious to other dogs. All along they didn't even need her to go**** to get a specimen. $1800.00 later she tested negative for Parvo, but they still sent her blood work and because it was a little off they had us come back for additional test. Later on at her checkup the vet said the blood work was normal for a puppy. So why did they run all those extra test?

I own a busy pet care service. I have very many clients who use various local vets. This rating is based on feedback and sad, angering stories from 7 clients that use VCA Weymouth. I have also been there to witness attitudes and manners of much of the staff of VCA Weymouth. Here are just 2 examples The diagnostics have been very poor, eg. having two veterinarians at VCA coming to different conclusions from lab reports. They couldn't agree on a diagnosis..was it or was it not Lyme disease? Next: A very active, sympton free beautiful male (red) Golden Retriever became suddenly ill, was diagnosed to have internal tumors. After about 8 hours of tests..no MRI because they don't have one, the intelligent 'doctors' convinced the owner to euthenize her dog..without offering any other viable options!! Very unfortunately the owner did just that. Anyone wishing to challenge or question my claims, including Ratingz.net,I will be glad to furnish documents. Please stay away from VCA Weymouth

It's all about the money. Tests upon tests when my dog was dying of cancer. Terrible manner with patients until you are checking out and paying!!

Our pets were patients at the VCA for over the past ten years - last winter our cat become very ill, possibly food related, they could not find what was wrong with him; the Vet said he would call a presciption into a local pharmace to see if it helped - the Vet went on vacation, never called the prescription in and the cat died - over the years although they offer many services what they do not offer is compassion - everyone I know that has gone there is now going somewhere else because with the VCA it is all about the MONEY and lots of it! We adopted a puppy from Maine and the Vet bill there was $25.00 - for the same tests and shots at the VCA the bill was almost $300.00 - our service dog at work almost died because the VCA fed him right before surgery -
