DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! I took my dogs here after their run in with a porcupine. After waiting 2 1/2 hours (clinic was NOT busy) - even after telling them and it being obvious of my dogs’ distress not to mention my little ones being bored and hungry and tired - the dogs were seen and the quotes were $2000 PER DOG. I was completely floored. The year before I’d taken them to the Huronia Emergency Vet for the same thing and their bill had been $1000 for BOTH dogs. So I took them there. At this point it was midnight (dogs had been suffering since at least 5 pm - we live almost 2 hours away and circumstances kept us from being able to head out until 7 pm. Their quote was $1200 for BOTH dogs and that included boarding them for the night. I just have to wonder how many people have had to and will have to put their beloved pet down because they just can’t afford it/this company’s absolutely appalling GREED. It’s ABSURD. Absolutely DISGUSTING.

you want to keep your animal healthy...don't take to this clinic. my dog broke his leg and their surgeon did the surgery and ended up with a serious infection (they didn't ask to see the dog for four days after the surgery) and the my dog had to have his leg amutated due to the terrible incompetent surgery that was done on him at this clinic. We asked for our money back for all of this so we could get him fixed up and was told no..All this clinic cares about is all the money it charges for terrible service and not the animals. I will continue doing poor reviews and also putting a complaint into the barrie examiner and possibly contacting a lawyer to get reimbursed and I am also thinking about putting in a complaint to the college of veterinarians of ontario.. something needs to be done about this clinic before other animals get hurt or loose their legs..contact me anytime at 705-890-3754

Staff is incompetent and all they seem to know how to do is push euthanization rather than save a cats life. My cat died at this clinic within hours of being there. Whole bill ended up being $2000 approximately. We didnt even find out our cat was sick until it was too late. But another vet told us actually they think Osullivan misdiagnosed our cat and it was the medication they gave him that killed him. Trish Osullivan is not a cat expert, not at all. And she only cares about money. Vet tech accidentally poked our cat with a needle in the wrong place too although at least she apologized and owned up to her mistake. Dr Trish Osullivan however has not owned up to killing our cat.

On the morning of Sunday, March 11, 2018 I made an appt. to take my 13 year old Sheltie, Lilly, to this clinic. We knew there was a good possibility she would have to cross the rainbow bridge as she was very sick. Lilly was not a patient of O'Sullivan's but they told us to come in at 1:20 that day. We met with Dr. Linxi Li who was very compassionate and caring. After discussing Lilly's situation with her, we made the heartbreaking decision to let her go. We were taken into the "Quiet Room" to say goodbye to our sweet girl and it was so peaceful. I can't say enough about Dr. Li and Tracey who assisted her. I would highly recommend this clinic.

We had our first ever visit Sept 13th,2017. I cannot say more about this Vet Hospital. The people,the facilities are the best I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with..they are extremely professional,friendly and courteous. I have been going to the same vet for over 45yrs and now I do have an alternative. Thank you so much. Cory & Jackie Wilson

We do have a lovely vet already, but this is a clinic that we use after hours or if we have crazy schedules. They have assisted with multiple visits over the years and frankly very relieved to have access to such a place. Many , many thanks.

I took my dog there a couple of weeks ago with two large holes in his skin. Great vet named Carol cleaned him up and prescribed him meds to fix him up. 13 days later when the hole is infected yet again I go back after beiung told on the phone its all taken care of since hadn't been two weeks since visis. Upon arrival I see the most rudest and inexperienced VET named HOFFMAN and told that after a few more hundred dollars all will be fixed!! I lost it walked out and still three days later the useless owners who I left messages for "Trish" cant be bothered to call me back!!! Do yourself a favor and go to Innisfil animal clinic!!!!

I manage an animal rescue organization and have for 20 years. We have dealt with hundreds of veterinarians all over Ontario - often travelling great distances to deal with vets we trust and who are compassionate and skilled. Not all vets are in this business for the animals. In my opinion, the doctors and staff at O'Sullivan Animal Hospital CARE. I am now telling everyone about this hospital. I took a cat in recently who was a 'stray' (not a cat from our shelter) and she was in critical condition. I really believed we would lose her. Today I will pick her up - after several days of around the clock, professional care - SHE PULLED THROUGH. These people fought for Crumb Cake (I did not name her - lol). I can't say enough about the doctors and staff at O'Sullivan. It also brings me peace of mind that my animals will receive around the clock care. THANK YOU O'SULLIVAN ANIMAL HOSPITAL - you will be seeing much more of us and our rescued animals!

I feel so compelled to comment on this establishment!!! First, with all the staff that I came into contact, each and everyone of them was caring (to both pets & owners), patient, knowledgeable and insightful. From the emergency visit at the middle of the night, to arranging the surgery with FULL AND TOTAL explanation as to obstruction to the proceedure. Then visitation premitted at anytime of day or night was certainly a comfort for both pet & owner. The excitment Dr. O`Sullivan expressed when she was able to give us good new, was as if she had a personal stake in the cat, beyond being the vet. Her sense of humor is just what my daughter needed when face with the fact the cat needed surgery. Excellent pet/people skills this woman had. All the attending vets & tech were bang on This establishment is SECOND TO NONE!

Our dog had clotting problems after she was fixed. The staff was very caring and very quick to give help. At one time during a very difficult week we had to rush her in in the middle of the night. They were immediately giving her all the love and care we could ask for. She remained there for two days,it didn't cost us a thing. They are a caring vet that give you many choices of cost per care. We have been in there care for 13 years and on to our second dog. I would recommend this vet. And look forward to continue going there for years to come.

I will never, ever hand my dog over to these incompetent, irresponsible vets again. I was quoted over $1300 to stitch a small wound on her leg that probably would have required 3 stitches at the most. I chose to have the wound cleaned and bandaged. The cost was minor though, compared to the atrocious treatment they put my dog through and their refusal to let me see my dog and how they were wrapping her leg (so I would know for her continued care at home). Worst of all, the vet put my dog and the others at the clinic at risk when she carelessly walked her through the busy waiting room AFTER I told her my dog is reactive to other dogs. There was another path she could have taken with no other dogs, that was a direct path to me, so I believe she did this to prove a point because I'm sure at that point I was a "difficult" client. To top it all off, when I went rewrap her leg just a day and a half later, she had sores on her toes from her foot being wrapped too tight. I will NEVER go back!

Awesome clinic!!! Smartest vets around. You can tell they all totally care. Open 24 hours, never closes. I was sooooo impressed that they didn't charge any emergency fees. I took my sick dog there on a Sunday: they were quick, compassionate and competent. Gave me a ton of options. They didn't not seem 'all about the money's rest vets!! Great clinic! I will tell everyone to go there !

My year old puppy got run over by a car, Sunday afternoon first long weekend of the year. The staff, already busy, took my "kid" in immediately and made her comfortable. They also made me comfortable, which was admittedly difficult. They were gentle. They were courteous. They were accessible. Billing was reasonable with both a low & high end$ total so no suprises at end of the day.

I love this clinic! I work in the animal world so I no what is goin on with my pets! I live that Trish gives me all the info and doesn't sugar coat anything! And ppl in here saying she is expensive she isn't she is here for the animals trust me! My one girl got cancer and they where amazing after 2 surgeries she is like a new dog! They kept my hopes up and never let me get upset they were so positive! My other girl has some issues were working on an I get called all the time to make sure she is ok! I love this vet they actually care! I have use other vets (404 and bell farm) and I am not very happy with them! I recommend Trish to everyone and all my friends are happy with her to! Thank u staff of o'sullivan u save my girls lives :)

I recently took my 3 yr. old dog there and was very pleased with them. Most important to me is that they do everything on-site if certain services are necessary and there is no waiting days for results. I will say however, the initial quote I got was for a hospital stay and 2 other quotes for lesser treatment options. Found it odd that they recommended the overnite stay. Might have agreed had puppy been critical, but she was nowhere near. I guess they just give you your options (highest to lowest) in the change you choose the highest. Like them nonetheles.

I took my cat there for a skin problem. I had to wait forever for him to be seen, then forever again for the price list, then forever again for him to get a needle. If they were that busy, why did they offer me a same-day appointment? After he was seen, I chose the medication-only treatment option (the other option was tests (to confirm a diagnosis)and medications which was outrageously expensive) I asked if the vet or a vet tech was going to come back in the exam room to clean his wounds and give him an antiseptic (to prevent infection). The receptionist said this would cost an extra $30.00. The vet could also not be bothered to give him the first dose of his medications or advise me on how to use them or when to follow-up. Every other vet I have ever been to comes back in the room after you have decided on a course of action to administer the first dose and give advice. No such service here! Ridiculously bad customer service...they only want your money.

Unfortunately this hospital is the worst. please go to other board-certified emergency clinic in Barrie, Huronia Veterinary Emergency Clinic on Bellfarm Road - The doctor was completely incompetent (I work in the animal healthcare field!!) and they not only had to call in the doctor (he wasn't even there!!) he couldn't speak english!!! It's really sad that Trish O'Sullivan writes her own reviews on this website - it's really obvious and you need to stop that Trish. Embarassing:(

Wonderful, caring staff and veterinarians. I lost my toy poodle to Cushings Disease and diabetes. Not only did they send me a sympathy card, Dr. Angela made a donation in Saylor's name to research at Guelph University. I now have a new puppy and they have been wonderful to her as well.

I currently have a pet with many health issues. We've been going to O'Sullivan's for over a year now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. They offer more on-site diagnostics than any other clinic in town. They are also open 24hrs, WITHOUT the $175.00 fee just to be seen at the other emergency clinic. Their exam fee stays the same, regardless of the time. There is also a doctor and technician there at all times. The staff has always been super friendly, going above and beyond to make me comfortable. My dog means the world to me and they are always offering me the best of care for her. Obviously veterinary care can become expensive as there are many costs involved, however, O'Sullivan's seems to offer incredible services at reasonable costs. I will always bring my pets to O'Sullivan Animal Hospital.

This clinc is amazing. They are now open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I needed my cat examined on a holiday weekend, and it was half the price of any other place. The vet was amazing, so compasionate and knowledgeable. I couldn't believe how 'state of the art' the facility was (they did an ultrasound on my cat same day)The female vet was able to help my sick cat and really seemed to care. I would recommend this place to everyone. It was clean, friendly and everyone seemed so competent. I also like knowing that I can now pick up my food anytime of the day.

I was quoted between $700-1000 in tests to determine the cause of my 2 yr old cat's vomiting. Not able to afford this I asked for advice on what was absolutely required-of course all tests were. After a call to the mgr, suddenly only $300 worth of tests were mandatory. The xrays revealed intestinal obstruction which would require a surgery in the range of $2000. Should I not be able to afford this (as was the case) I would have to put my beloved cat down. I took him home that night in devastation, awaiting the call in the morning for a final quote on the surgery/euthanization. After receiving no call at the expected time, and thinking I had few days remaining with my cat, I called them. They noncholantly asked how he was doing, i explained i was awaiting a quote and they said (as if surprised) that surgery wasn't needed, he only had gas! They didn't feel that telling me of the misdiagnosis was important! I'd never go back there after what I went through! $-hungry incompetence

I took my puppy to this vet because his gums were pale, he was collapsing out of no where. so this one vet suggested he was anemic then she said he had bone cancer.. after we did a couple tests this vet suggested we say our last good-byes and bring him in to be put down. we call the breeder of the dog she addressed us and told us how to take care of him and after a few weeks our puppy was finally back to his happy playful self ! i do NOT trust this veterinarian hospital.. for more then the reason listed above!

These people are caring and competent. We've been very impressed with the treatment our cats have been given. They own three clinics in Barrie and one is for cats alone. I would highly recommend them.
